But there is no rush to make him first line.
I agree with his usage.
We are only seeing glimpse of what he will give us.
I wouldn't put him on the first line, but make him our secondary offense. My lines for the next few games, assuming injuries remain:

Bourque - Plekanec - Eller
Pacioretty - Galchenyuk - Gallagher
Prust - Desharnais - Gionta

Move Eller down once Ryder is back to centre the third and Desharnais can figure himself out with Moen and Halpern. I want to give Pacioretty someone who has slick hands and actually competes. This year Desharnais is far from that. It may not work, but doing the same thing and expecting different results is the mark of insanity.

They consistently lose battles on the boards, find themselves out of position, make the wrong plays, or just look completely lost. It's really shocking how poor Gorges has been, above all.
It seems that you try to see agendas everywhere. I don't have a ****ing agenda I call it like I see it. You are welcome to disagree. 6 goals on 29 shots is not solid goaltending, I don't care what anyone says.

Consider the circumstances.

Tired team that gave everything all year with injuries who just clinched.

They face the best team in their conference in the first game of back to back, which will be 2nd game of 3 in 4 nights.

Budaj gives up 2 softies early on.

What do you think happens ? You have certain players who are banged up who just decide to let the foot off the pedal and save energy for the next game.

This team cannot afford to have bad goaltending right now. It will expose all of our flaws.

Desharnais is also +2. In a game in which we allowed 6 goals, why is he the one getting the blame?

What about Plekanec and his 0 points and -3???

I'll say it again, this team is small and soft and they are getting exposed because other teams are playing playoffs style hockey. Simple.

Can't believe people would protect what he did.....Makes no sense to try to pretend like your this tough guy. Embarassing. He doesn't need that. He's not there anymore. Guy is now a clear Norris candidate for years to come.....Cut those stupidities PK.

Watching the Habs beat the crap out of the Pens for 20 some years 1968 to 1988, this is the first time the Pens have swept the Habs in a series.

Weber was probably one of our better defenseman...

Sad, I know.

Ah well. I actually expected a worse game than this, so to make it 6-4 is better than I thought so I'm not really pissed.

Congrats to Dumont on his first and that was a nice goal by Galchenyuk.

However, I gotta say... Gionta, throw a ****ing hit. You're not going to fight and you need to do something physical to spark the team. HIT

2 points tonight preceeded by a hundred ****** games with tons of icetime. worst player period.

The positive is they kept battling and they gave a **** even when the game was basically over. Weber was solid and imo price looked more confident at the end. Galchenyuk also had a nice goal. I think we still have work to do to get back on track obviously, but I think we can work it out by the time the playoffs start. I have confidence because they've shown they care. You can care but still be in a rut.

I think the key to accelerating the return to good form is MT changing the lines though. DD and Max need to be broken up and Galchenyuk has earned more icetime. DD has earned a demotion. Also gallagher deserves a better Centre.

Therrien is a bad coach. No timeouts, overplay vets, doesnt play/reward the best players, cant adjust.

The score was 6=3 and he is laughing it up after his "fight" and then goofing off in the penalty box. Then his brain cramp at the end of the game and he got tossed.

He is a superstar in the making but he has some maturing left to do.

Well it's clear to me that Alex Galchenyuk has hit a wall offensively. That wall is called Therrien. Wtf.

Chuckie is our best forward for the past, oh I don, know... 8-9 games now? And his ice time is going DOWN not up. What the frig happened to the supposed reward system Therrien had at the start of the year? Out the window?

By capping Galchenyuk's ice time like this it seems like, no matter what, he will not play a prominent role on our team this season and I don't call that stellar coaching. He's making this happen every time he touches the puck, and stated to use his big frame to protect the puck a la Eller but not quite there yet. Those are the only two forwards on our team capable of doing that.

Re-work some of the lines, and have Chuckie at center with Gallagher and Ryder when he's healthy I say. AGally and BGally like carrying the puck and have amazing chemistry together, and Ryder is a great finisher who will have no problem scoring off their passes as he sneaks into his usual office near the faceoff dot.

More like terrible defense than bad goaltending. stop trying to make something out of nothing. The defense was so bad terrible is a gross understatement. Gorges is just brutal out there

We can't advocate pinching D right now with our D personnel. Everyone has to bail out if there's any doubt about giving up a 2-on-1. Sticks can't be deflecting harmless shots and we need to either block the shot or get out of the way. We're not playing smart hockey and we're hurting ourselves.
