Also the Flyers will always carry a heavyweight on their roster. No matter if you agree or not, you have to deal with it if you are a fan of this team. At least Rosehill has shown he has the ability to actually play hockey.
So damn close.. 5k off on both of them.

Nevermind.

Yeah, I think I had the two guys at the right cap hits in one of my (admittedly many) mock-ups for next year.

Shelley's cap hit is indeed terrible, but Rosehill is ECHL material at best. To me it seems stupid to waste a contract spot on him, seeing as how we already only have a couple of them opening up next year.

Meh.

We need a goon. We don't need a good goon. I'll take the "ECHL" goon at $650k over the NHL goon at $1.+

Eh, my guess is Rosehill does what he has done his whole carrier, be that #13 forward for when someone is sick or hurt for a game he plays. If someone is hurt for longer, sadly the way lavy does it is probably move Talbot up to the 3rd line and keep Rosehill and Rinaldo in at the same time.

As long as we didn't give him a NMC.

I wouldn't laugh about that. Anything is possible with our "balls of steel" GM

I always liked Rosehill when he was Leaf.

He can skate and play a bit, and he's tough enough to fight guys like Colton Orr who are true heavyweights.

Rinaldo earned the extension and the money, i honestly think he makes the team better.

i'm ok with the rosehill signing too cause he'll only play like 12 games a season, pretty much what shelley did, but for half the price. he's a fine 13th forward.

Two more years of Rinaldo meltdowns on the main boards makes this deal worth it alone.

Seriously though I'm glad Zac got this deal. He really grew on me this year. You can always use high energy guys like him in the lineup.

Really like the Rinaldo resigning. I think it is a fair price for what he brings, not to mention he will still be a RFA at the time of this current contract ending. I feel good about the Rosehill signing I think...I like him better than Sestito and Shelley. If this prevents the Flyers from going out and getting whoever the next shelley is this FA summer than this move is great.

Rinaldo is a great signing and Rosehill is useless. Why are all the questionable signings longer than 1 year?

I can't believe some fans are happy with the Rosehill signing after seeing him for just 7 games? He is coming off a 550k one year deal as a UFA and he gets a two year deal? It is minor, but it is idiotic.

If he was signed for only one year, who would outbid the Flyers next summer if they wanted to resign him? Answer: No One.

Rinaldo deserves the contract. he is a regular on Lavi's roster.

I don't get why they had to give Rosehill a two year contract. Just waste of a roster spot. He plays 5 minutes a game when he is not a healthy scratch right now and will probably lose his spot next year to a player like McGinn full time.

Rosehill is a goon, but he's definitely more durable than Shelley. From what I've seen in his short time in Philadelphia, he has looked solid.
