Mason lost his confidence in CBJ. Going to be interesting to see how he reacts when he has a bad game and if that affects his confidence going forward.
Yea, holding my breath. I'm really hoping Mason just needed a new city because he's been great at every level he's played in so he obviously has the talent. I just hope the way CBJ mishandled him didn't completely warp his brain.

Bunch of Ducks fans think Hiller is traded this summer to go with a Fasth and Bobkov/Andersen tandem to save money

4.5m next year and then he's a UFA

Any interest?

What would be the asking price for Hiller? If you could get him cheap I wouldn't mind it. While he's still a solid goaltender, he's a shell of his former self due to injuries.

I think the Luongo situation is something to keep an eye on this summer. I doubt the Flyers would acquire him through trade after getting rid of Bryz's contract. If Vancouver's forced to buy him out I could see the Flyers looking at him.

I know everyone hates the Pannatch, but he said the exact same thing on Philly Sports Talk yesterday.

I hope it's Bryz rather than Lavy.

There is no way they choose Bryz over Laviolette IMO

Let's make it simple....get rid of the both of them!

Sick of the distractions that surround the both of them....in Lavi's case he was appeased with the Carter and Richards reset (dry island and the like) and with Bryz he is a freakin drama queen...

Yeah. As I'm sure you will vividly recall, I abhor this sort of media rumor-mongering

(Excuse me while I shake off the 1000 yard stare from our prior debates)

But...it's getting to the point where, if Lavi has reportedly developed another rift with a major player...well, I'm finding it hard to not be incredibly annoyed, and I'm one of those who has tried to give him the benefit of the doubt overall.

If it's true, nuke both. Screw it. The team isn't built for Lavi, who has shown minimal ability to adjust (benefit of the doubt: maybe he thinks of something in the offseason, and implements it with a real camp?), and Bryz has done nothing but underperform.

We're economizing bro. Gotta cut costs somewhere. That Bryz buyout is going to cost us $23 million. We had to get rid of the expensive alcohol. We do still have some pure grain alcohol and moonshine though if you're interested. At next week's meeting, we may even splurge for some Schiltz Malt Liquor.

On a related note, the forum's bathroom facilities are currently inoperable. I'm using the toilets to make prison wine. If we're going to suffer through a tank we might as well do it drunk, but as mentioned, funds are tight.

That might explain Bryz throwing a stick in Lavy direction during practice.

seriously though, i would like to see both go (as long as there are reasonable replacements lined up that is) as i really can't see bryz working out here barring major changes and i'm just tired of Lavi and his questionable decisions/handling of players (Couts, briere, Richards etc).

To quote my favourite line from A Bug's Life, as said by Stick: "Well, that's an oversimplification." Bryzgalov has played some good games as a Flyer and a few very good games as a Flyer, including the first dozen or so this season; the problem is that he has played far too many mediocre or worse ones.

Damning with faint praise, I am.

I'm in the camp of getting rid of both of them this offseason. But if its only one of them that has to go I'm going with Lavi over Bryz for this summer and then giving Bryz the boot next summer.

If I remember right, there was a video about 1-1.5 months ago where Bryz chucked his stick during practice pretty far and it ended up near Lavy. I don't know if I would call it intentional though.

Yeah, I did indeed oversimplify. I used the transitive property of general relativity to round "much" up to "all," while taking care to respect the cosmological constant without breaking C. It's all very complex.
