The idea is they are guys who you think represent your franchise. I don't want people just picking certain guys so they have the opportunity to trade some of their big name stars if they want to.
Yea, but im not some idiot who will ruin my franchise, i think already based on my trades ive shown i can make a team much better. I just dont have attachments to players, id deal anyone if it made sense.
Looking for a top 6 center (upgrade on Korpedo) or NHL ready prospects
Highlights on the block:
M. Kipprusoff, 87 overall
R. Smyth, 81 overall
S. Horcoff, 82 overall
N. Shultz, 84 overall
Shultz is ONLY available in a trade for a center, and Horcoff is only available if I end up getting a center. Kipper and Smyth can be had regardless, though the only thing I'm looking for is a center... So lol.
will be looking to move Beauchemin for a mid-range 1st and a decent prospect (any position but Center/Goalie) if anyone wants a dman (while getting older is still quite serviceable) and he has 1 year remaining on his contract. This is assuming we have time to make trades before the draft is done.
Lubomir Visnovsky retired, so I now have a bit of a need for a younger offensive d-man. I got a couple nice jumps with Josh Bailey going from a 76 to an 80, Thomas Hickey from a 78 to 80, Anders Nilsson from 72 to 78, and Evgeni Nabokov inexplicably going from an 81 to an 83 at the age of 38. I now have a bit of a glut of centers with Tavares (89), Nielsen (81), Fisher (81), and Bailey (80), so one of the latter three could be moved in the right deal.
Nick Shultz is on the block, 84 overall defenceman with good skating attributes, solid all around. My defence had 2 massive jumps from Gormley and Petry which bumped Shultz down to my 3rd pairing. He's extremely solid, but I will need the cap space come next off season.
He's a bargain buy as am just looking for an NHL ready prospect or two. Someone in the 70-76 range with a bit of untapped potential.
