We will see Redmond get it next year after he makes a proper return to the Jets, I imagine.

I don't believe anyone involved in any lockout should receive an award for it.

So no one would win it then?
All players were "involved", Hainsey just happened to be one of the players showing leadership among the players.

Someone involved in ending the lockout?

By looking at the comments in this thread and the WFP comment section you would think that no one has ever had their contracts negotiated for them. FFS, a lot of people make the wage they do and have the working conditions they have because of people like Hainsey who are willing to take a unpopular stance and work for change.

The love of Higgs-Boson.

Words that get people all uptight, lockout and union.

FWIW: Hainsey is deserving after painting a big bulls eye on himself and becoming the lightning rod for many.
He became the face to scorn for those that have preconceived ideas about unions or like to wave their political stripes. He put his neck and possibly career on the line being one of the faces of the union with the owners.

Like him or not, he did sacrifice a lot of time and effort and still managed to come back and have a great year on the ice.
