Yeah but you would think they'd play even better with a chance to clinch. But so far they have blown the first chance and are on their way to blowing the second.

They really have to get it together. It's like they're mailing it in tonight.

We're not going to win 15 games in a row to finish out the season...

Bruins and habs have ben doing badly lately. Caps are on fire. They are more dangerous than both.

RC should give them some talk. We were 2-0 up and with all momentum and pressure.
However, look like refs called BS calls on us until NYI went ahead and then all of the sudden they call nothing and "let players play and decide the game".

The caps are just hitting their stride. Be careful what you wish for.

There is no need to show your hand before all the bets are in.

Is it crazy to be worried that the Leafs come up with such a terrible effort with the chance to clinch their first playoff spot in almost a decade in front of their fans? It`s embarrassing.

That's not optimism. Optimism would be believing this team can come back tonight and go undefeated the rest of the season. What you're doing is putting up with bull**** and being satisfied with terrible performance. Of course i'd be ok with making the playoffs, but the expectations are much higher.

Just can't believe how the team can stop playing after the first two goals, and they can get outshot so badly in the last couple games.

Sucks to lose to the Islanders, but they're an incredibly hard working team that is also on fire, so we're not losing to a basement dweller. Have some respect.

Nabokov has certainly looked shaky tonight. If they decide to actually shoot on net, we still have a good shot to get back into this.

No one said they would. But that doesn't mean they don't try to win every game and give the same effort and play with the same drive. Thats the mentality they have to play with. One bad game is fine, but its been 2 now.

I'm aware, but if we lose to the caps the pain won't be so bad. Lose to the slabs or bruins? We wouldn't hear the end of it.
