He was never good, he was only serviceable when we had the worst blue line in the league
I don't think anyone thought he was ever "good" as an NHLer (I mean, it was his first experience last year and he was what, 20?), but he's always had promise until this season where he seemingly wants to follow in Stefan Legein's footsteps.
Used to be we'd be lucky enough to carry puck into zone and would pass and pass and not take any shots on goal. Now Davidge says don't need to shoot right away - take your time. Does he really think before speaking.
And by lucky enough I meant I'm recalling games on end where we NEVER carried a puck across the blue line EVER. Dump and poorly chase was the flavor for too long.
