QUICK JABS: Former Edmonton Eskimo Adam Braidwood is slated to square off with debuting Adam Querido in a four-round heavyweight bout on tonight’s undercard … For a complete report on the Trupish-Johnson bout, see Monday’s Edmonton Sun.

Reading up on a fighter I've watched and this tidbit came about. I thought Braidwood would be in jail for awhile. What the heck happened, our justice system that bad?

Best I can find on google is that he ended up sent to rehab in late 2011:

http://www.tricitynews.com/news/134075463.html

The article mentions that he had outstanding Alberta issues on top of the BC charges, so not sure how it all worked itself out. I may email his BC lawyer and ask what happened (to the extent that it's public record, at least).

Yeh, let us know what happened, I thought he had bodies in the trunk of car or something and was going to be in jail for sometime.

Ya it's odd, he got caught with that body and then while out on bail he was charged in BC with some more crimes.

Sounds like he lost the fight, which was an amateur fight. Which in itself is odd, because he had fought as a pro a couple times.

The sad thing is this kid had talent, but is head was elsewhere. He was one of the better heavyweight's this city had in terms of potential but somewhere in there he just didn't give a crap.

The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club has acquired a third round pick (26th overall) in the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft from the Toronto Argonauts in exchange for non-import defensive lineman Jermaine Reid and the Esks best two fifth round picks in the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft.

Hervey is trying to acquire a first-round pick in the draft May 6. We'll see if he's successful and what he'd have to trade for it.

That interview with Eric Tillman on Prime Time Sports this afternoon was such a waste of time. If you're not willing to divulge anything about your dismissal from the Eskimos then don't agree to the interview. "I made mistakes yes, but there's no point in looking back." Shut up, Eric.

People really think he was going to go on and talk about the exact reasons he was fired?

What kind fantasy world do you live in?

Well, that was supposed to be the primary focus of the interview (with the Ti-Cats consultant job as the sub-headline) so I guess that everybody involved with contacting Eric about the interview was living in a fantasy world. Basically, it was a waste of airtime.

Then cut him off and go to their usual round table talk about how fighting shouldn't be in the NHL and so and so should've gotten 20 games for an illegal hit.

True enough. Honestly, McCown sounded really flustered about a minute into the interview and I always enjoy watching him squirm so it did have some entertainment value.

Mitchell is a ******, and not surprised that he is not liked by his teammates. But it is interesting that he brought up the same owner owns BC and Tor.

Sounds like more to come as he's yet to face charges on the Stony Plain incident.

Good to hear that Braidwood plead guilty, any time frame on the other charges for the guy in the trunk?

so whats going on with the seat replacement? when are they supposed to get back to work? I don't see why they are not working right now.

I don't want to go another full season sitting in the broken down crappy orange seats
