What are the SABRES waiting for

I just want to know what Sabres are waiting for to sign Daniel Paille

He is showing his stuff at the world junior championship right now and also is leading guelph storm to a top 10 team in the CHL.

He is a future star of the NHL and June is just around the corner.

WAKE UP SABRES MANAGEMENT!!!!!!!!

They are waiting until the last minute like they did with Derek Roy.

Besides, Paille may think that it's in his best interest to wait as well.......

"Star" is a bit of a broad statement. Overly so, IMHO. But typical negotiations between a player's reps and the team drafting that player happen after the conclusion of the player's year and prior to the June 1st cut off. I have no doubt that they will make every reasonable effort to sign Danny.

I see Paille as a Harvey / Barnaby type player. I don't think he has the hands to be very effective goal scorer.

A great leader though.

The additions of Vanek, Paille, and Gaustad along with Roy and Miller in 2005 will begin to establish the new identity. It is critical that our current deadweight (Satan, Brown, etc.) gets moved for D.
