finally was able to pull the timeonice stuff for the kings game.

we really dominated carter, richards, penner. but overall the kings had the advantage. not by a huge stretch. i think its a winnable series if we get some better performances and home ice.

The Kings were the fresher team so I expected them to have an advantage in that area.

Yah keep in mind, we were on a back-to-back, they were not. They also played well, and we still won. Barely, but we won.

Thats what I said. Sharks played hard and well but you can tell they lost a bit of steam in the late 3rd and OT.

I hesitate to draw comparisons versus the home and home series we ended last season with when the Kings seriously outplayed the Sharks early and generated big leads but we somehow managed to win both games. The game last night seemed much more even - I like our chances if the Kings are our first round match-up. If last night was any indication, Pavelski and Couture will be walking bruises after the fact though.

I'm not sure about that. The Blues have played a game less than SJ/LA and have an easy schedule left with 5 of 6 games on home ice.

Blues - Phoenix
Blues - Dallas
Blues @ Colorado
Blues - Colorado
Blues - Calgary
Blues - Chicago

It will be a race between LA/SJ/Blues.

I think another win and we're in the playoffs, still going to be close for the 8th position.

Blues:

Dallas@Blues(19)
Blues@Avs(21)
Avs@Blues(23)
Calgary@Blues(25)
Chicago@Blues(27)

LA:

Dallas@LA(21)

Sharks@LA(27)

SJ:

Columbus@SJ(21)
Dallas@SJ(23)
SJ@Phoenix(24)
SJ@LA(27)

Its going to be down to the wire for the 4th seed. Blues have the easiest schedule, especially if Chicago just rests their players in the last game. Hope Dallas wins tonight in regulation.

fearthefin 11:29am via Web Currently a 48% chance Sharks and Kings meet in the first round, making that the second-most likely playoff series to occur in the NHL.

Don't mind playing San Jose, St. Louis, or Vancouver in the 1st round, home or away.

I'm glad you are confident, but considering both of our home and away records, I would think you (as well as us) would be desperate to have home ice advantage.

Not happening. Both LA and San Jose would have to win out and hope Anaheim loses 3 of its last 4. LA has a better chance than the Sharks as they have the ROW tiebreaker.

The fact we're still in the race for the division amazes me.
