Nope, Sens can still get 62 points and leaf 61, impossible to clinch tonight
In Habs win and Leafs lose in regulation time or OT or SO tonight against Ottawa, Habs will finish ahead of the Leafs. Habs would have 61 points and Leafs 53 or 54 with both teams having 3 games to play.
So we've seen the best and the worst of the habs. At this time of the season what I wanna see right now is confidence back on track. I wanna look at the team and tell myself "they can beat anybody if they work hard enough".
Go Habs Go. I don't care if they lose tonight if they play well.
Subban, Gorges and Bouillon are not soft. I would like to see Weber replaced by Drewiske with reasonable minutes, say 12.
No need for both Diaz and Weber in the lineup. And Weber is the softer one of the two.
Saying that it's the softest one doesn't mean they are all soft. Subban isn't. Gorges and Bouillon do the best they can. They don't mind the rough stuff. But they can so easily be pushed around that it makes their "not-softness" irrelevant. Their persona isn't soft, their play happens to be by being unable to win too many 1 on 1 battles due to size and strength. Put it all together and it makes this entire group one of the softest in the league. Thank God Subban is in there 'cause it would be the ultimate soft one.
Doubtful that Diaz will be at full speed in his first game back. I'm really glad he's healthy, but I'm worried his rust will open a boatload of leaks on our D. Our weaknesses are mostly in our zone and I don't see that improving until Diaz gets a few games under his belt. Hope I'm wrong.
