I've been following the Q's playoffs. He's best player in playoffs this year

It helps that he plays with MacKinnon and Drouin...but I'd still like us to take a chance on him. Liked him last year with Victo. Solid all around player with good size.

He sounds similar to TJ Oshie in playing style and size.

What would be the biggest difference between him and Horvat?

But Compher is another under 6 foot tall forward!

I know there's intrigue around Jordan Subban here...you can watch him on Sportsnet one tonight.

Well, the thing is his play didn't go downhill when Mac was injured or Drouin was off to the World Junior Champs. His big fault is being 20 and never drafted.

Bergevin needs to get signing players for Hamilton,Stefan Fournier would be a welcome addition to the Bulldogs.

Yes Hamilton needs more rookies, we did so well with a line up full of rookies this year.

It's a banner year for the QMJHL in terms of draft prospects, as many as 14 QMJHL players could go in the top 50.

3-MacKinnon, Hal
10-Erne, Que
23-Carrier, CB

It looks like Russia vs Finland u18 will start in an hour or two in case anyone's interested.

I'm not sure because the site hosting the game is on different time zone then me but here is (hopefully) the link to the game. I'm guessing noon EDT, Sat or maybe 1:00 pm.

Carrier and Poirier are really high. Mantha and Gauthier, too low ?

I would likee the habs to get a guy like Poirier in the second round. Morin could be an interesting project on D.

That's not where they will go, it's RLR's list. Teams will chose some guys lower and others higher.

Erne will probably go closer to 20. Mantha will probably go higher, so will Gauthier. Zykov and Carrier will go lower.

Morin will probably go around our 1st pick.

I'd like to go with Nic Petan if he's available with one of our 2nd round picks. Heck I'd even go with him with our first if he's there (since we're picking past 22 anyway), by most accounts he seems to be a rare offensive talent. It doesn't help our size situation but bear in mind, Gionta, Bouillon and Desharnais will likely be gone by the time he makes the show anyway. BPA gents, BPA.

The problem is -- Kristo and Hudon likely won't be gone.

Neither are locks to make the NHL, but so is Petan.

Our 1st and 2nd might be extremely close.

Poirier has huge bandwagon lately. What's so amazing with him is how he progressed from last season. He was really slower than slow. Now his speed will pretty much be a neutral factor as far as NHL is concerned, and he looks fast in the Q.

No problem with Petan... but not with our first three picks.

Valeri Nichuskin

He does whatever he wants out there and no one can stop him. Such a powerful combination of skill and size.

He's a swordfish and the Finns are sardines.

My new draft resoluschkin, trade all picks and move up for Nichuskin.

... and then pray he comes over.

It's good to watch players we don't normally get to see. That Finnish goalie would feel right at home in the Hab's net, being hung out to dry doesn't seem to faze him.

If he shows a willingness to come over like Tarasenko, sure. But I still don't think he will be on Montreal's radar. I haven't been watching this game, but from what I've seen before, he looks like a selfish player that would rather try and deke 4 guys than make a pass. He is extremely skilled though.

The really freaky thing with Nichuskin is that he doesn't just skate through other kids his own age, he does the same to grown men.
