Brandon Pirri: 1g (SH), 5a, +4
Ben Smith: 3g (1 PP), 1a, +3
Jeremy Morin: 1g, 2a, +3
Kyle Beach: 1g, 1a, +2

With this game, Pirri became the top scorer in the AHL with 69 points in 73 games. Next closest is Jeff Taffe with 64 points in 68 games.

The Hogs have another must-win tomorrow night against the Admirals, who currently hold the 8th seed.
I was looking at the box score last night with like a minute left and the Hogs had almost 60 shots on goal. There were a combined nearly 100 shots on goal. Wish I would have gone to that game.

Yeah, Pirri absolutely murdered the Wolves last night.

Through a typo.

I checked again, Lalonde had 1 assist last night.

Highlights from the game are here (autoplay warning)

Pirri is approaching a ppg. 74 games, 71 points. 0.81 for his AHL career.

I'm a Habs fan, I'd actually be interested in the Habs getting Beach for relatively cheap, Habs need some size and toughness on the farm. Change of scenery and lowered expectations might be good for him, plus possibility of being a 3rd or 4th liner. I assume Bergevin knows him fairly well.

Can he still scrap?

what would you give for Beach? Getting a 4th or later does nothing for the Hawks and Beach at least gives them the chance to become a bottom 6 guy to replace Bickell.

Don't know. We have some of the same lack of grittiness issues as the Hawks which is why Beach would be attractive. We do have a lot of surplus D on the farm with some decent potential 3rd pairing prospects like Morgan Ellis and Greg Pateryn, wonder if the Hawks have needs there? Habs have three 2nd rounders in the 2013 draft but I'd be shocked if the Habs would move one for Beach nor would I want them to.

2 games left for the icehogs. It's going to come down to the wire. We've played one more game than Milwaukee and are tied in points. We hold the tie-breaker against them I believe.

Radio ads have made it seem like the Wolves were in already. Just looked at the standings, they have a lot of work to do.

The Hogs absolutely clowned San Antonio tonight with 4 unanswered goals in the 3rd period leading to a 9-4 win to keep their playoff push alive.

Prospect scoring:
Clendening: +2
Stanton: +2
Lavin: +1
Montador: +1
Lalonde: 1a, +0
Dahlbeck: 1a, +2
Sauve: 1g, 1a, +2
Beach: 0p, +0
Hayes: 2g, +1
Morin: 1g, 2a, +0
Smith: 2g, 1a, +2
Ross: 0p, +0
Pirri: 1g, 2a, +1
Nordstrom: 1a, +1
Olesz: 3a, +2

Tomorrow night they play their last game of the season against Texas, the top seed in the conference. As best I can tell, Rockford still needs Milwaukee to drop at least one game to make the playoffs, but it might end up being a first round preview.

Pirri with 3pts. Put 6pts on the Wolves the other night.

Apr - 8 games, 17pts (3g, 14a).

At this point I'd be quite upset if he isn't given the chance to play for the Hawks this year (after the Hogs playoffs end) or next. He deserves a long look at 2C.

Stan mentioned Pirri and the other top prospects in the last podcast which was good to hear. Stan mentioned his development including size and age so hes definitely aware of Pirris development.

Adam mentioned the Black Aces taxi squad so Im sure thats where Pirri, Morin, Hayes, Stanton and others will go after the Hogs season.

Its my position that Pirri is the number one center prospect candidate at this moment and is only being blocked by existing contracts.

Since Shaw and Leddy are up full time, hopefully we see the whole trench crew (Morin, Pirri, Hayes, Stanton) up with the Hawks in the future. That'll be quite the exciting locker room that's for sure. Those boys are super tight with each other.

If Rockford makes the playoffs, I doubt we see Pirri this year. If they don't, he might get in.. but even that's doubtful. I don't think Q's going to screw around with the line-up too much, once we're healthy.

Yeah. If Rockford misses the playoffs I could see him getting a look in the last couple regular season games just to get a look at NHL play in case somebody important goes down.

Q won't play a guy that hasn't played in the NHL before (ok, 2-3 games) in a role like #2 C

The Icehogs won tonight, keeping their playoff hopes alive. If Milwaukee losses in regulation tomorrow, Rockford makes the playoffs. If they get a point, Rockford's eliminated. Season scoring for the Hogs:

I know it's cheesy, but the Hogs should be proud of the way they played down the stretch whether they make the playoffs or not. They were a longshot to make it for the past few weeks, but they've pushed it right down to the wire. 14-6-1-0 since March 1st.

And unless Jeff Taffe rattles off 4 points against Manchester tomorrow, Pirri will be the AHL top scorer for 2012-2013 season, making him Rockford's first ever winner of the John B. Sollenberger trophy.

EDIT: But Pirri still wouldn't be a PPG player
