So the only harm there is that it's not legalized. And in fact, it's quite a bit less harmful than alcohol in terms of dependency and lethal dosage. Actually, it's conceivably impossible to overdose. I don't really get the "greening out" thing. I've never done it, I've never had a bad experience.

I'm not advocating people to go out and partake, but it is scientifically a much better choice than alcohol, tobacco, or anything else. I do however advocate it's legality and morality. Most often people think legality = morality when that is simply untrue but that's another issue. Yes, there is still a lot unknown about it but it couldn't be a safer substance really. I'm not proud of admitting this, but it does nearly nothing to my driving ability though I don't think you should be driving at all if you are under the influence.

Point is, if I had a kid about 18 I'd feel much better about him toking than drinking. Personally, I was a sloth before touching the stuff and I'm still a sloth. People are built like that, I don't think that interferes much with who you are. Like they say though, moderation is key and I feel that's one of the better substances for that.
Agree with some points and not others, I like resealable conversation too.

It is 1000 times better to then hard alcohol, I have a father who is an alcoholic like his father before him, I live out of town and make sure I only buy small amounts at a time. you would never see a fight break out when people sit round a table and smoke like you do when people drink a lot.

I cannot see legalization stopping kids from using myself, they will still get it, even easier if the type of bone heads who would give it too them don't have to hide it, however I am a father soon to be of two children, I take it as my responsibility to keep my children safe in there formative years, I think people who give the stuff to 12 year old kids to sell are bad bad patients.

however decriminalization would make some sense

agree about Law and Morals.

My I suggest a look at the laws in Adelaide Australia, legal to grow three plants for personal use, can only have so much on you at a given time outside home, no dealing, however a sly deal between mates would be ok.

I myself smoked it alot since 16, dropped out of high school, stole 3 pounds of it from a dealer. (Found it in a shed in the bush) then smoked that like every day till I was 21. no long term employment, then stopped when I moved town to get away from all my influences. Now I am a small business owner, with a lot of money tied up in assets. married with kids. not boasting just saying the stuff made me a looser.

You are right about moderation

I don't smoke, parents would kill me.

Alcohol? Totally different story.

I was at Downtown in the afternoon...
As you get out of City Center station...
You can smell the smoke.

I got curious...
So I walked to the site...
So many people...
And so many baked goods.

Ahh...
The entrepreneur spirit...
You would think hippies would not care too much for money...

Never had the itch to do it, my Dad was (still is) a huge pot smoker, divorced my mom when I was 2, now he's somewhere in Alberta with 5 kids and a *****y wife living his own life.

I'm not saying pot was a factor, but I don't have a great relationship with it.

I am surprised at the amount of people at the Art Gallery...
Took me 20 minutes to walk one block...
And I got felt up at least 5 times.

My dad and grandfather are both alcoholics, and have brutal divorces with my mom and grandma. No issues with weed. Just depends on the situation I guess, that's why I am not a big drinker

Good luck guys.

I believe you both will be fine...
Since you know the danger...
And you have a good head on your shoulders...
From what I have read on here.

you just never know though, who I am today is not necessarily anything like who I will be in 5, or 10 years. Here's to hoping though

Thanks Nameless, I like the "From what I've read on here" twist.

Don't think I've played him yet, give me a scouting report!

Well, it's 3AM here, probably time to hit the hay.

Final game and final day over here in T.O.

Night gentlemen! (and ladies)
