He would be stupid not to re-sign with the Islanders. Tavares has rejuvenated his career.

Pretty much. But we'd be stupid to re-sign him.

signs for cheap with the leafs. He's from Ontario, so he wants to play here. Plus the team is playoff bound, so he'll come here. Book it

Boyes won't want to sign on the cheap anywhere. He's already played his dirt cheap season($1m) and now wants a nice deal. If he were willing to sign cheaply, I suspect Snow would have inked him already.

I agree. Early in the season, I wanted him back.

Now, I wonder if the Tavares wouldn't be better with the big, chippy Nino on his wing or 6'4 Nelson. Someone who's able to provide physical play.

Every big free agent from Ontario wants to play for the Leafs, but they weren't a contender before. Now they are, so they will land be free agents

how many pucks have hit you in the head? you want to become the hockey version of the Yankees...every UFA comes to play for them.

Not every player wants to go to a Toronto market and the associated intense media presence.

Unless you're joking, this is the reason leaf fans get a bad rep. Laughable.

I'm just gonna give you the benefit of the doubt and say you're joking.

You can have him. The guy is useless without Tavares. He was smart to sign the contract with us, definitely making him look better than he is.

Boyes is an asset on the PP regardless. Any other situation he really is a momentum killer. He will want 4 million a year. He is a one dimensional offensive player worth half that. If the Leafs want him you can have him because a long term deal worth at least 3 million isn't good for the ISles.

With JT 9 goals,25 assists
IMO without JT 4 goals, 8 assists
BB should just enjoy the ride while it lasts and should not be given any

He is honestly only worth like 2 mil max, any team that would give him more just hasn't done their scouting on him. 2.5 is probably the highest any team should pay the guy.

Saw Stransky play a lot as a Blades fan and I don't think he's NHL ready.

2 years/5.5m in reality. For Jim Rutherford this translates to 5 yrs/15 million and an NTC.
I am just glad Tambellini is gone in Edmonton . He would have probably did nothing to address our need for better defence and signed Boyes Making us even softer .
