It blows my mind that people are pinning the 100 footer on Crawford. It was a flukey goal, plain and simple.

When they put shootouts in the playoffs that will be great, till then it's a concern to have.

I'm. usually pretty forgiving of goalie mistakes, but that was really bad. This is a loss that can be pinned on that play.

If that happens late in the third, you might be right.

As it stands...

A trait that follows this guys career unfortunately. No matter how well he plays, if the game is tight I almost expect a stupid goal to get past him...like diving on a lose puck with no one around him...only to have Legwand tap his glove...as I watch the puck slide underneath his prone frame...and in to the net!!!

Some guys have "it" and others don't. Color it any way you wish, Crawford does not have it and he will be the reason the hawks don't win another cup any time soon because we all know he isn't going anywhere.

That's the situation with Crawford, flukey goal this game, "late" whistle goal the last game, misplayed shot before that.

He cannot focus for 60 minutes, he's showed that time and time again.

Simultaneous posting RFIP, well done, you said it better.

Crawford is starting to make my preseason outlook look better which was that they'll be an incredibly entertaining regular season team and lose in the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs.

How does anyone here think the Hawks can win a cup with Crawford as the goalie?

No matter who we play in round 1 we will have the worse goal tender by leaps and bounds. You need to have a HUGE talent advantage to over come that come playoff time.

I agree, could easily see a round 1 exit, sad to say...

And yet so many have such little confidence in him. Must be more than the numbers.

At this point, playoff time, it is more the how and when those goals are given up. Very tough to win with a goalie capable of imploding at any moment.

Take a look at this stat line.

1970-71 27 CBH NHL Games18 W-11 L-7 GAA 2.19 2 SO

The thing that still haunts me is bolded.

How about this team score more than 2 goals against a bum ass team like Phoenix, is that too much to ask?

I want Crow in the playoff's but if that goal wasn't his fault then no goal ever will be.

The best part of this game was Seabrook scoring two pp goals. One from the halfboards and one in the slot. Movement? Shifting shooting lanes? Shocking.

What stood out most for me and I put in as Flop3
- Frolik on the PK goes to change and leaves his spot wide open instead of staying there
- Krüger on the 2nd goal against, how can you make a pass like that
- CRAWFORD

Crawfords fault 100% and not the first time

he didn't even move on the 2nd goal when he wasn't even screened. I'm done with Crawford and Bowman has to trade him in the offseason.

Emery has about the same numbers... It's more on the team infront of them than on the goaltending.

Please show me some saves Crawford made when you say "how did he just do did" or "he totally robbed them".
You won't find them.

Obviously 100% on Crawford but it's a tricky diving, bouncing puck. Pucks don't bounce naturally like balls......

At the same time you have to worry about him struggling on those kinds of pucks (as shown in above posted Nashville goal)....

I mean this as politely as possible.

It's because far too many Hawks fans are whiny, spoiled little brats.

I'm happy to pin this loss on him, but I still count myself in the crowd that thinks we can win with him. Goals like that irritate me because they're preventable, if you let one like that by you it's because you put yourself in position to let it get by you. Unfortunate, and I hope he learns a lesson from it, but I still think Crow can get us where we need to go.
