Good to read Julien saying Horton is day to day. If it was a broken wrist or something serious, I don't think they'd lie and say day to day.

Never trust what a coach has to say about an injury especially at this time of year.

Typically, coaches will not mention specific areas of injury, but if anything they tend to exaggerate the length of time for injuries. If Clode says Horton is "day to day", he likely is.

Initially I thought it was a finger/knuckle issue as it looked like he bounced the only punch of that dustup off Iginla`s melon but when skating off, seemed like he was holding his wrist?? Slight sprain?? 100% assumption, total guess

Tough year for Quaider, issues with his health before Camp opened, can`t stay healthy during the year, then whatever injury he has now all due to a guy who instead of being a man and continue his path of head on contact decided to turn his back go low on him.

Cooke continues to be a gutless turd, reformed my arse, once a DB always a DB, you just know it`s been killing him for 1.5years to unleash his true self

I am wondering if he was hurt when bracing himself as he hit the ice while falling down.

"@ESPNJoeyMac: Horton will not make the trip to Philly with the Bruins. McQuaid will and said he felt good during practice."

Good news about McQuaid....we need his toughness.

Hopefully Horton comes back by the weekend.

I want mcQuaid in Philly so that's good news. My guess is Horton has a slight sprain that just needs some time.

Looked like his fingers were twisted up in iggys shirt and maybe twisted his wrist when he fell. Sprain likely if that's the time frame

Nathan Horton will not play tonight vs Tampa Bay but skated this morning and progressing well (day-to-day, upper body injury). #Bruins

Good news. As long as he's ready to go for game #1, that's all I care.

Bruins will then be able to put on the line their unbeaten streak in the playoffs with Horton in the lineup.

Have there been any current updates on Horton? Is he expected to be ready for game 1?

They're being pretty hush hush on it, to be expected though. I'm sure he'll be ready to go, if not by game 1, then hopefully by Saturday.

There's no way Horty coulda gotten his bell rung could of he?!?!

Seemed like an awful soft fight but they are being extremely quiet about it..

I honestly just think he tweaked his shoulder.. not so much his hand.

I remember Horton was day to day for about three months last year too. :-)

The last update I saw CJ said that it depended on when the Series started & that if it started early he might not be ready.

Does Claude not know what Day-to-Day means?

Boston Bruins ‏@NHLBruins

When asked about Nathan Horton's availability for playoffs, Chiarelli said, "I would expect so; I'd say he's day-to-day" ^CS

There wasn't anything in that fight that makes me think he got his bell rung. I don't think Iginla even landed a punch.

Pretty sure it was his hand, wrist or fingers. A sprain can sometimes be pretty bad.
