We should hold a memorial IMO.

A nice powerpoint slideshow with U2 in the background. Highlighting great posts, and then some not so great posts. Show the highs and lows. Thats the most important thing with a powerpoint memorial. Highs and lows. And then a silly one to get a rise out of the crowd and show the lighter side of HF.

Tensions were high during that MTL-BOS and VAN-BOS series, especially on the main boards. Some people couldn't keep their emotions in check good enough.

Some simply couldn't resist going to other team boards. No matter how much they were asked not to do it. Like moths to flames.

I reckon it's the law of diminishing returns. 10 pounds of peanuts in a 5 pound bag doesn't work.

Still plenty of good posters to read on this board. Lots of regurgitating crap, too, but that can be weeded out. Still look for and learn from (in no particular order): Black Eye, DKH, Glory Daze, RealLinesman, bb74, Bill Ladd, Future Considerations, Nightslyr, WBC8, Neelynugs, Amazingcrwns, Colt45 of course, VeddarRants, Sarge88 (Rarely seen), Mick (Doc5hole), Pielsman, Morriws W, and so many more that I probably can't remember unless I see their names posted. Still around...??? Deal Law, Greyhounds, Ludwig Fell Down, Combat/Derek Chang, Dead golem, KSP?, jahbrations (sp), misterjaggers

Do miss Ironic - bastidge always has some good one-liners.

Haha a memorial would be great.

Anyone watch/watched Survivor? When they do that thing every year at the end of the season where they revisit all of the torches of the people that were voted off, and then exchange memories about that person? That would be hilarious

No. It would get people in trouble. As I mentioned already, there's a rule SPECIFICALLY forbidding that.

Wasn't he moving to Hawaii with his fiance (likely now wife)? I know he changed jobs shortly before he went off the grid and was really busy with that. Said he didn't have as much time to post.

So if a poster gets banned it's for life? Is anyone allowed back after a period of time ?

How do you know if a poster is banned ?
There was a guy who posted here, had a great Bruins mancave
cute little kid, very pretty wife, posing in a Bruins Jersey, who
I missed, asked about and was told he was banned.

Hockey Goddess took a long sabbatical, but I've seen her posting a bit
recently.

I know who you're talking about, not sure if I can say his name though.

He had a pretty sweet man cave to say the least.

Whatever happened to KillerKampher? I remember during our 2011 Stanley Cup season he was leading the fire Julien crowd during some of our tougher times, he was quite passionate about it too. Maybe he made some kind of pact with the big guy upstairs that if the Bruins win the cup he would forever ban himself from the boards.

I read much more than I post. Probably would post more if I were watching the games. Locked out and all that.

Still some decent people and info here. Nothing like the old days, but few things are.

yah a lot of good men were lost...as for Silva he PM'd me within the past couple of weeks and he may be at the Providence game this weekend- haven't seen him much at the Bruins games but he got married and has a real job, house all that crap- I told him you are biting off way more than you can chew- but his wife is very cute so I told him get her down the aisle before she figures you out....as for Gorsik, talk to him somewhat regulary and (and see him from time to time) he sent me some texts this week about Boston so he's around.

Meister lives from what I hear, as does Erfus who is one of my alltime favs....

I miss Don Cherry (the snicker was legendary) and my favorite thread Blake the Fake he authored- and once asked me if I could arrange a fight with the two....he was something else and every time I saw he posted it was ok, this oughta be good
