Not sure if I'm allowed to post this, but there are some free steams available of the Marlies/Barons game going on right now. Check the usual sites.

Late in the 3rd, OKC routing Abbotsford 5-1 so far.
Probable to clinch a playoff spot with a win here.

Marincin with a multi point night.
Eager and Hordichuk found the score sheet.
And Rajala with 2 more apples.

What is the psychology of the team that makes them play so much better without the NHLers? Bizarre.

Getting psyched for Rajala. Gives me a new dark horse to cheer for making the team now that the Omark saga has ended.

If the Barons win tonight against Houston they will finish 5th and play Charlotte in round 1. If they lose they will either finish 6th or 7th and play Grand Rapids or Toronto. Hopefully we don't play Toronto in round 1 as that would be the worst match up.

Charlotte would be the best match up out of the above, correct?

Charlotte always seems to have the Barons number.
I'd rather them play Grand Rapids I think.

Anyone else see the game-worn jersey auctions going on?

Hall is at the top at $750, as most would expect.

#2 and #3 come straight out of left field. Cheechoo at $725 and Rajala at $630.

What would you have said if someone, at the beginning of the year, told you Toni Rajala's game-worn OKC jersey would go for $50 more than RNH's? haha

Shots are 21-6 Barons. It's only 1-0 but they're schooling the Aeros all over the ice.

It's amazing how well this team does without all of the NHL players

Rajala... Talk about a dark horse

2-0 Barons. VandeVelde with the goal.

Houston calls a timeout.

Apparently VandeVelde's goal was highlight reel worthy.

#OKCBarons take 2-0 lead over Houston with 3:47 left in the 2nd period courtesy of Chris VandeVelde's sweet, highlight reel goal.

I wouldn't consider it highlight, that's just my opinion. He made a good move getting in position, but it was almost a goalie interference on House. Prepare to be let down if you're considering Vandy toe dragging and turning the D man inside out lol.

Stauffer just can't believe Toni Rajala's performance. 17 goals and 45 points in 46 games. It's like he expected him to fail or something.

Would that have been wrong? Can't say I thought Rajala was going to do much for the Barons this season, let alone lead the offence.

People in Finnish hockey forums were saying that Rajala was a bust, a former child star and had 0 chance to make the NHL before the season even started lol.
