It's now been 2-3 seasons that there's been talk of Berra and the NHL. It's almost 100% sure he's moving this offseason. He's arguably one of the best goaltenders out of the NHL, managed to get Biel into the playoffs, finished 8th and went all the way to game 7 with the #1 seed. Just because he's 26 and he's never played an NHL hockey game doesn't mean he's worth a bag of pucks.
Think Berra has already signed with the Flames so it's 100% that he's leaving now. He'll either be the backup in Calgary or in the AHL next year.

I'll reserve judgement until he plays in NA. Gustavsson and Karlsson were highly touted goalies in Europe who came to NA and didn't exactly shine.

Goalies are such a crapshoot - you never really know what you're going to get, but hopefully Berra works out.

Yeah, but so were Fasth, Backstrom, Hiller.

Exactly. You can only hope your team's scouts did their job, and then wait to see how he does when he comes over.

There is no point anointing Berra (or Ramo, for that matter) as the Flames' savior until they play, but there is also no point in disregarding them either. Sometimes nobody can really know how good they will be until they actually get some NHL time in.

Also, Cundari has been getting really good reviews from his time in Abby. Should get a look on the Flames before the season is up.

Having watched Cundari in Windsor for a few seasons, he always struck me as a kid who you couldn't count out. Obviously he's not big, but he's solid. I doubt he's going to be a top pairing NHL d-man, or even top 3 d-man, but I can see him 4-5 range somewhere, in time. .

Karlsson never was. Middle of the pack SEL goalie and never a national team player, got his rights traded and then got signed out of nowhere.

A goal and assist fro Cundari in his NHL debut. His goal was a sick powerplay wrister. He's a pretty good defensemen that was probably held back in St. Louis because of a numbers game.

Great first pass, physical in the corners, and almost connected for a huge open ice hit.

He played a lot of minutes tonight too. Nearly 25 minutes, and had some nice defensive plays, especially holding his own against Parise in the dying minutes 1 on 1.

Yeah, he showed awesome strength keep Parise off of the puck. He's shorter, but he's stocky as hell. His game is eerily similar to Mark Giordano.

Pretty solid that a coach trusts a rookie to play 28 min

Really just nit picking but Brodie played 54 games last season. He's also played like an average of 25 minutes a night since Bouwmeester was traded.

Sorry I misread and thought he had said Brodin. Referring to BrodiE, he's looked very good in the games I've seen him, looks like a future PPQB and possible #1D

Small sample size but he already looks like a great top 4 guy. Still a few wrinkles in his game but he knows how to throw hits and made some great plays.

Through the first period he had 4 hits. Nashville had 3.
