I can see how some aren't pumped but it's still the playoffs and I'd rather Habs be in it instead of out.

Starting to sound like you should be posting in the negative thread

Well I live in Toronto and would probably have to move if the Leafs won, but I don't think they will. Watch for some Leaf thug to do something stupid, get suspended, change the tone of the series, and then have the Habs' offense light up Reimer and Scrivens.

Can't tell if this guy is serious. As a fan of this team, why would anyone want this? If you're being sarcastic, my bad.

I'm excited for playoff hockey.
I'm just not optimistic about our chances.

I wouldn't be disappointed if we lose in the first round, as I still feel we are playing with house money.

Same as above poster.

Excited about playoff hockey.
I just don't like our chances at all, some key aspects don't lie.
Our game is sluggish and soft, we won't get that far.

That said, I appreciate NHL hockey, not only the Canadiens, so it's a fun time to watch good games.

Two weeks ago there would have never been a "Who else isn't excited for the playoffs" thread. Kind if ridiculous how everyone just jumps ship at the first sign of a struggle. Playoffs are a whole different story.

Every game that we have lost to the leafs has been because we shot ourselves in the foot. Not because they're a better team than we are. We even outplayed them for most of the game in our most recent outing against them, but goaltending was our downfall. The only time where we played our game against the leafs, using our speed and transition game, while winning puck battles and having solid goaltending, was the game where we beat them 5-2. We are a better team than the leafs, I am confident about that. It is only a matter of getting everyone to play 100%, and that is just what the playoffs do. In the 2009-2010 season, we finished second last in the division and squeaked into the playoffs by one single point. And you all know what happened there. It was all doom and gloom going into the playoffs. Nobody thought we would beat the capitals.

The playoffs are a completely different animal, ladies and gents. Time for everyone to grow a pair, and get ready for Montreal to bring their A game for the playoffs. We've had 2 solid days of practice to iron out the kinks and restart the motor. Am I afraid of the leafs and their two (basically) rookie goalies, and lineup that has barely any playoff experience? No. Not one bit. If we play our game, we will beat them with ease. We will be fine.

Very well said. My sentiments exactly. I struggle to see how those that have already given up can even call themselves fans.

While I haven't stopped loving this team, I have concerns about how the coaching staff will adjust for the playoffs. We have enough talent and depth to be able to band-aid the Emelin loss, but it's up to MT to make it happen. That being said, I'll love the Habs til the day I die and I'm always excited to see the boys in the playoffs. Let's go

This is all part of one big dramatic epic rise to the Cup through toronto, boston, pitt and Chi

OR

We'll lose to the leafs and I'll have to off myself.

(no in betweens of course )

We still CAN win the division so I think we should shoot for that starting tonight. Won't know until April 29th likely even if we win win win.

If we play the leafs, I hope we go in as the team that deserved the respect it got this season, cuz if that the case, we will beat them. I need to see some evidence that this is possible. I hope those practices really were all they were cooked up to be.

I wouldn't care if the habs finished 8th going into the playoffs on a 10 game losing streak. All that matters is that the habs are in and I'll be cheering for them until the last second

I'm excited … and apprehensive.

It's been a fantastic bounce-back season but the recent meltdown has been troubling to say the least.

Unfortunately, it's going to come down to Price—if he's on his game the Habs have a chance to win in every game. But if he's not—well, you know that scenario.

I've been a staunch Price supporter since he came into the league, but I'm starting to wonder if he's the goalie that's going to help fill the display cases. Even if Montreal suffers an early exit, Bergevin is building a framework for future success. You've already got young cornerstones like Subban, Gallagher, Galchenyuk, and Beaulieu in place. With Timmins at the draft controls the talent will be there.

Exactly. The playoffs are just amazing. Everyone stops what they're doing and for three hours watched hockey, it's really awesome.

The CBC intros, the hype around the team, the intense games, the feelings, the Habs intros, the fact that we should have home ice. How can you not be excited?
