I don't mind, at least one of those four teams got a point.

philly/nj are both off the radar.. as long as we don't win 3 of the next 4, its very unlikely they suck more than us at years end.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned before, but I came across this awesome site- "nhl what if"

It lets you toggle game results and it updates the standings- let's you easily play out any and all playoff scenarios. Very cool.......

Bobrovsky is putting on a show for my newly-adopted East team. He has had a special season. Every time I've watched him, he's been Rinne-game-stealing level.

Yep- about the only time he has been lit up that I've seen was against us of all teams- when we chased him in the first period in the 5-2 win. That game seems like it was about 4 months ago.......

Really wanted Carolina to win this one for multiple reasons. We need a Canes win and I'm personally hoping the Jets come in 9th so they miss the playoffs and get a meh 1st rounder (good Lord, I'm like a jealous ex girlfriend).

Technically our best season was and still is 2008-09. We'd clinched the playoffs before the final two weeks that year.

Ironically, that was also the last time the Preds missed the playoffs. I seem to keep getting one but not the other.

As for the Jets, I'm conflicted. On the one hand, yeah, anything that slightly screws with the legacy of ASG is good and awesome. On the other hand, they're the Rangers' best competition for the final East playoff spot and we would really like that to be a lottery pick.

It amazes me how bad Colorado is. No passion, no drive. They have some talent (Stastny, ROR, Duchene, Landeskog, PAP, EJ) but they just continue to lose. Hoping they get Jones and we get Mac.

I thought Col would be the team to make a little run, but looks like they may end up battling FL for the 1 slot.

Calgary and Carolina are winning with under five minutes remaining. It'd be nice to see Tampa tie it up, but two outta three ain't bad.

The hockey gods are smiling on us so far. Big wins from Calgary and Carolina, with more help possibly on the way. Even if Colorado blows this, it's a good night for us.

Yep- we could win the Calgary game now and still finish behind them.

Brutal loss for the Wild- they are now in danger of missing the playoffs themselves.

And what a win for Columbus- even tougher road for Detroit now

Great night for Cbus so far. They get a huge win, Minny loses, and Dallas was down 2-0 to LA...2-2 now.

Edmonton beating the Ducks would be nice too.

If we lose to Calgary, we're nearly a lock for 2nd worst in the west...yikes. Heck, we could even finish dead last if the Avs close this one out and win a few more.

I must say the variety of possibilities for our remaining games will make them worth watching.

Although I earlier stated that I would be glad to move up in the draft if a win over Columbus would deny them the playoffs, i would like to amend that to state that if the options are either beat Columbus and Minnesota makes the playoffs or lose to Columbus and Minnesota misses the playoffs, I would happily lose to the Jackets...

ahh didnt see Tampa. They do have more regulation wins and only one less point then us. Top 3 pick is definitely a reality.
