So basically they said that because Quick touched the puck after the high stick then the play was still alive. Does the opposing player just have to touch the puck to keep the play alive after a high stick, or does he need to control the puck? Anybody know the rule?
Which linesman had his arm up?

That is probably what he means.

They gave a little clap for the guy once he got up.

It was the play being blown dead when L.A. had the puck. A bunch of fans thought Brown was given a penalty.

That booing happened to last until the player got carried off the ice.

He wasn't carried off the ice. He skated off.

On the Kings feed, they showed a low angle of the play, the back linesman covering the blueline clearly puts his hand up signaling a high stick.

And to the other poster, Even if Quick makes the save after a high stick, that doesn't nullify a high stick call. The play should have been blown dead, instead they call it a good goal.

Brutal call.

Yep, they missed the one that resulted in one of your goals.
Didnt miss the phantom call on Penner when your own defenseman shoves him into your goalie.
Wasn't missed, just wasn't called, and I believe the ref came over and explained the non call to your coach.

How about the Kings 4th goal at the start of the 3rd, oh wait....waved off because your own defenseman fell into your goalie and he sold it like he was pushed in.That's it.

Yes it was. Like you said. the play shouldve been blown down, but instead, even though he had the correct call, the ref over ruled him because it was called a goal on the ice and in his mind was he was right. Don't know how many times a linesmans call will overrule a refs call, if ever. I think the real error was the linesman not blowing it down immediately.

I think the funniest part in all this is that I'll be cheering for Dallas on Tuesday.

Some people don't know the difference between embellishment and diving.

OK... Re-opening with the following caveat:

This is a GDT to discuss the games each night ONLY.

This is not a thread about diving.
This is not a thread for chest-thumping.
This is not a thread for flaming.
This is not a thread for fans of any team to disparage other fans. That's flaming.
Trolling is also not allowed.

Everyone's on a very short leash moving forward and this is a warning. Infractions are next.

Please treat each other with respect. Gracias.

I did a slight fist-pump when Jeff Carter scored.

It made me feel as nauseated as the time I managed to papercut my junk.

I challenge you to find posts where Kings' fans have wished for a career ending injury for Corey Perry. He's a pest. Big deal. Wish he was our pest, even if he is a jerk.
