It seems very likely we will be facing the leafs...

With Habs recent struggles it seems as though we will most likely end up 4th in the East ...What would be our hypothetical game plan assuming home ice advantage vs the Leafs.

These are my predictions for playoff seeding :

1. Pittsburgh
2. Boston
3. Washington
4. Montreal
5. Toronto
6. NYI
7. NYR
8. Ottawa

Pitts vs Ottawa
Boston vs Rangers
Wash vs Islanders
Montreal vs Toronto

I care. Playoffs are really fun no matter the opponent, but I will certainly enjoy more eliminating the Laughs than whoever else we could face.

Probably going to be an epic series if we face them.

I think we have to play to our strengths - namely speed, puck possession, and active d.

I think you put the puck into the corners and use your speed to hound the Leafs D. Might take a few big hits but Fraser, Phaneuf, Franson, O Byrne, all have been prone to giveaways under pressure. I think over 6-7 games we can wear them down.

I think it's a mistake to try to match their physicality or play defensive. Certainly, we need to answer the bell when appropriate and take advantage of opportunities to put hits on Kadri, Lupul, Kessel, etc.

Looks like it will be them. They've had our number but hoping we show up. We've beaten them so it's up to us.

Still, it could be another team. Who knows. NYI and Ottawa are close to them and Boston and us are close.

I really wished that we would finish #2, now, I'm just hoping for home ice advantage in round 1.

I say it's going to be the Islander. Just a feeling.

The Laffs are officially in Price's head now so we'd be lucky if they don't sweep us in 4 or 5.

Hence, I didn't want to spend $200 for a ticket earlier today when the PO tickets went on sale.

Game plan- stay out of fights. We will lose them all so why give them the satisfaction?

Have CP attend sports therapy counseling. "I can do this, I can do this, ..."

Don't care who we face anymore. We just need to get back on track or we'll be slaughtered by anyone.

Leafs will blow us out, in the first game. We will win the next 4 by a goal a game.
Habs in 5.

I'm thinking positive, the team will be ahead of the Bruins when the 48th game of the season is done!

Thanks is all.

Oh no not the Leafs. What ever will we do against the big bad Leafs. They haven't lost a playoff game since the first lockout.

Seriously, who gives a ****. Bring it on.

matchups help. In 93, we got lucky with matchups. Thank goodness for David Volek!

I want no parts of the Leafs. I can really see us struggling against them.

You don't win anything by skimming the edges. We see the storm coming; Habs should straight into it with determination.

They can totally win this series. They just have to keep their cool and remain professional.

Just have to keep our cool, if they want to play their goons then we'll exploit them and score while they're on the ice.

Seriously. Plus they are riding an abnormal shooting percentage, and I have my doubts that they'll keep this up during the POs.

I mean, if Price can go back to stopping pucks, it won't be a problem. If he doesn't, then we'd have a hard time beating the Panthers..

Basically, this.

Leafs are riding a wave of hot air. Their main accomplishment against us last game was shooting the puck towards the net. If Price shows to stop it, we can beat them. Easily.

I think I'm going to make a thread on their board begging for them to not embarrass us and at the very least let us win 1 game

I was going to say something like, "And while you're there, why not play the harmonica and beg for nickels?", but that sounds condescending so I won't say it.

Not the team I wanted to face but whatever, I don't think we match up well against them and don't really ant to face them. Going to be a really long summer if we lose to them!!
