Yeah he had a pretty good game, and has been playing hard for the most part. But for those also lumping Marleau into the "what is wrong" category, I would also think he is partially saving himself as well. I think we'll see the best of him in the post season. (as well as Boyle and Thornton)

literally your exact thought was said when we crept into the playoffs last year.

the more likely scenario(s)? injuries, running out of steam. both of which will carry over negatively into the playoffs.

its unfortunate, but im not expecting the team to come out of the gate flying unless they find some extra reserve. our bottom six is gonna be huge in these playoffs.

If Boyle finds his game..that would be great.

Truth.

Dude, Joe Thornton has turned this team into a legitimate franchise and people take the Sharks seriously. If he's asked to waive (which is a huge if) he's not going to pout like a little baby and drag the team down.

But he had the beans to put him on the 4th line. However, it was painfully obvious that he was holding Desi back.

It's playoff time and he's a Shark; therefore he's injured.

I'm starting to think Marleau has been poisoning his food so that he can shine instead of being overshadowed.

He has certainly looked gaunt and sickly this season in post-game interviews and such...

Not sure what it is, but he hasn't looked healthy this year

He did three years ago when he was hurt.

My head says he's banged up or tired though. He was playing during the lockout.
im hoping this is the case, im not one of those guys who needs to be shut up either, i mean look at my username - huge thornton supporter here, just something is off with him - whatever it is.
