B.C. and the C.A.H.A

Interesting history section on the BC Hockey site:

http://www.bchockey.net/About/HistoryDetails.aspx?id=2

A few key points. The delays in player registration and playdowns until the 1969-70 season.

More important is the 1945 agreement between the C.A.H.A and the NHL whereby registered players signed to NHL contracts would generate "signing fees" back to the originating organization.
