Sounds like Belanger will play tonight. Re-injure his groin early. Be on IR the rest of the way. Making himself unable to be bought out.

Because Oilers.

God, Krueger sucks. There's absolutely no reason for Belanger to see the ice for the rest of the year... certainly not at Paajarvi's expense. Fistric was also good last night but no, gotta give Whitney another chance to show everybody how bad he is.

Paajarvi out for Belanger and Fistric out for Whitney.

That's a pretty good way for me to lose what little interest I had left in this game.

My feelings would be hurt too if Belanger was replacing me.

So instead of playing Paajarvi, one of the few bright spots on the team this year, we're going to be playing Smyth, Belanger, and Smithson. Good going Krueger, I shall be checking up on the score in 6 hours.

The Oilers twitter is saying Paajarvi is sitting with a "bruised foot".

Turn the channel marge!

God, i don't want to watch Belanger whatsoever. I can just feel him sucking the ice time away from Lander.

But yeah. Don't watch, actually.

5-4 win ducks with a hat trick by either Hall or Yakupov.

The Oilers haven't beaten the Ducks at Rexall Place since 2007. Another stretch of futility.

I used to at least was happy to watch when we lost but thought hey at least we might see some hard hits, a little energy and a fight. That made losing at least worth watching. Now this sad group we have just floats for 60 mins and calls it a night.

Hall and Yak are the only two who look frustrated and like they care that this team and group are an ebarassment. Even Gagner is on mail it mode and he was one who usually has a bit of fire in his game.

I hate that we have some many bottom 6 guys that are allergic to dropping the gloves or mixing it up. Even Brown comes here fights his first games and then nothing. I guess he really is an Oiler now!

Ducks 4 - Oil 1

Can't wait unti this season is done!

Ducks, B'hawks and Nucks all have nothing to play for. Their positions in the standings are already locked it at 1-2-3. They are also simply better than the Oilers, but a massive margin.

Oilers might actually pull out a couple of wins here. Here's hoping that isn't the case, but you never know.

I think if it came to it, the Oilers would flip Hemsky and their first to move up to get Monahan.

Just get in the bottom 5 and guarantee a top 6 pick!

Even with those teams playing at 50%, they still have more heart than the Oilers. (Ok, maybe not the Nucks, but still)

If Ducks lose their last 3 and LA wins out, LA gets 2nd seed, so they still do have something to play for there.

The math checks out.

I think I'll pass on watching this game. Too nice out to sit inside.

I'll be watching, at least until we start sucking horrendously. Then I might amuse myself elsewhere.

I think at this point they should just put Yak on every line and let him accumulate some points.
