Potter is a better positional player than Fistric, although that's not saying much.

Yeah. The East is always weaker. I still don't think they're that far from being a very good team.

Hey, Lowe left Tambellini a mess to work with. Tambo's just continuing the tradition.

Robin Brownlee is so angry and bitter this year (justifiably so).

We are seeing the results of this with the on ice performances
Horcoff is not a good 3rd line center at this point IMO he is a below average one. All of that for $5.5 million. Buy him out and use that salary on say Bickell and Brian Boyle (via trade). Hell you could probably still have some money left over.

Even with all his physical shortcomings at least you could always say that Gagner put in a good effort.

I guess he piled up the points early and figures his next contract should be pretty sweet so he might as well take an early holiday.

This is what happens to Toronto sports teams. GMs come in and make a few good moves (Colangelo and AA). Fans proclaim they're god. Then when they make the big move to go all-in, their teams fail miserably.

AA might have seriously misjudged things this year, btw.

I know Potter is on a cheap contract but I hope we can move/waive him. If the defense ever wants to improve awful players like Potter, Whitney and N Schultz need to gtfo. I haven't really minded Fistric as a 6-7 guy.

Smid, Petry and J Schultz is half of the d-core. Need to find 4 more, Preferably at least 2 who can move the puck.

MacT inherited a better mess than Tambo did, it really isn't even close. Most of the core is here already, in Tambo's case the core was Gagner, Hemsky, and Cogliano......

Lol @ Justin Schultz on the 2-0 goal. Kid literally doesn't have a clue in his own zone.

No Nick Schultz on the ice to blame this on either. Smid played Steckel perfectly, and Justin Schultz decided to "help" on a guy who was already down.

Future top pairing defenseman guys!!

Yup it will continue in a few years when Smyth or Horc are GM

I can't bear to watch the garbage that the Oilers are putting out on the ice now.

He's been pretty poor of late IMO, I REALLY hope that he is on another team to start the '13-14 season. That said according to that one idiot on the Sportsnet panel we should be dealing someone else because of his "emergence".

He did a great job re-building the starting rotation but there are too many one-dimensional hitters in the Blue Jays line-up. All power, all the time. The only exception is Reyes and he's hurt.

You can't win anything with a guy like potter. Tambo deserved the boot just for that alone.

Yeah, he hasn't been coming back hard on the backcheck and some of his decisions in the offensive zone have been bad.

That 4-19 start killed them (obviously). If Toronto had gone even 8-15 they'd be in the playoffs. They went 30-29 the rest of the way.

Yes, lets throw a rookie who is clearly gassed under the bus. When you dislike a player, you really like to rub it in, don't you? It's pretty sad.

The kid is burned out, pretty easy to tell. That said if the biggest issue that you think that this team has is Schultz, I don't know what to say. Where is your namesake? Hurt again, can't wait until we unload that bum.

Thank God you're not GM. The entire team would be gone because their rookie season didn't go well.

Minus Hemsky, because what this team needs more of is Ales Hemsky......
