@SUNdvandiest: According to the first period highlights on the big screen during the intermission, the score is 0-0. #Bushleague #Oilers

I'm glad the media is ******** all over this franchise, even for the little things. It's about time.

More jabs at Kevin Lowe's press conference idiocy would be great.

Well he would look plain stupid if he was still calling Hall a 3rd liner. Might as well move on to a new player to troll with.

You can't win with anyone that Tambo brought in. The only good signing he made was the one that he had the least to do with.

Future top pairing defenseman guys!!
Oh give me a break He has played way more games that he is used too and put in a position where he shouldn't be in as a rookie. Instead of blaming him blame the management for not bringing in a good supporting cast so we aren't playing players in positions they can't succeed in...

Surprised it took this long. Now I'd like to hear Stauffer and Tencer tell us what they really think about the job this organization has done the last few years.

Horcoff is not a good 3rd line center at this point IMO he is a below average one. All of that for $5.5 million. Buy him out and use that salary on say Bickell and Brian Boyle (via trade). Hell you could probably still have some money left over.

Schultz has been weak in his own zone all year long. He's not "burnt out" - he's just not defensively ready to play in the NHL.

To compound things he's been thrust into a top-4 role, with another bottom-pairing defenseman.

But these are roles Petry/Gilbert looked comfortable in during their first full seasons.

I just don't buy the "untouchable" hype about him. He's definitely a useful piece for the future - top-10 PP defenseman in the league and likely a top-4 defenseman in his prime - but to me he's not more impressive than Petry or Gilbert as prospects.

If 1260 ever got the Oilers' broadcast rights, I bet you'd see a full 180 change in Tencer's tone.

After hearing Krueger's keys to the game, I may shut this one off. To paraphrase, he wants them to play a patient, defensively responsibly game and wait for the Ducks to make mistakes. Yup, that sounds like a good game plan when you have the kind of firepower we should have. No wonder we are one of the lowest scoring teams in the league.

Maybe you better tell this to the oilers front office. They still love the guy (Horcoff that is) as does 1/2 of this forum.

Except for Hemsky, who would be playing 25:00 per game on a 7 year extension.

Bob won't throw his bosses under the bus. And Dan... if you've ever listened to his show I think you'll agree that him giving his opinions on anything is the worst part of the program.

I hope you're kidding. Gilbert was always overhyped and Petry never put up numbers like Schultz did in the AHL.

Schultz is burnt out both physically and mentally. There's a precedence for this happening when players come out of University.
