The guy is ****ing clueless! Ok boys don't do anything until they make a mistake! Ok we're down 1-0 boys keep waiting they'll make one! Alright lucky one, its 2-0 we just got get one mistake boys

Huge proponent of trading Hemsky this year. Him along with 89/14 are big reasons why this team looks like a bunch of preteens against Pacific Division teams.

Makes me LOL when people use my username to undermine my opinions. It's an account made in 2006 to respect a player who's done more for this franchise than Hall/Eberle/RNH/Yakupov/Schultz ever have.

But these are roles Petry/Gilbert looked comfortable in during their first full seasons.

I just don't buy the "untouchable" hype about him. He's definitely a useful piece for the future - top-10 PP defenseman in the league and likely a top-4 defenseman in his prime - but to me he's not more impressive than Petry or Gilbert as prospects.
Having the worst coaching staff in the league by a lot doesn't help any of these young guys.

I'm going to make a bold claim.

The Oilers lose 3-1.

BAM.

So where's your God, Hemsky?

Oh, right, doing nothing and getting hurt.

Hall's a third liner too.

Stauffer and Tencer are hyping the fact that Western Michigan defenseman Kenny Morrison is at the game at the behest of the Oilers. Give me a break. Planning on putting another inexperienced player into the line-up next year?

Looking at Cap Geek, the only good thing about this roster is how many of these losers are UFAs this summer or next.

2013: Khabibulin, Fistric, Jones, Petrell, Smithson, Sutton, Whitney
2014: Belanger, Brown, Dubnyk, Eager, Hemsky, Potter, N. Schultz, Smyth

Schultz is burnt out both physically and mentally. There's a precedence for this happening when players come out of University.
Gilbert was on the All-Rookie team...17 goals as a rookie. Never looked out of place in a top-4 role on a pseudo-competitive team.

Petry plays a complete game, not a one-dimensional one. That's always been his calling card.

Both of these guys came out of college and didn't "burn out" with a pro schedule.

Both of these players were weaker than Schultz offensively coming out of college, and continue to be so today. But both were also miles ahead in their own zone.

Why is offense the only thing you people look at in defensemen? There's a reason they're called "defense"men

He's gone cold for sure.

The one thing that's starting to tick me off about Gagner is his lack of compete in the faceoff circle. He is just getting owned out there night after night. I realize its a small part of the game, but ffs bear down a bit please.

And given how poor he is on faceoffs I can't figure out why he keeps on taking the lion's share of the draws for the team. I thought Horc and Smithson were supposed to be faceoff dynamos. Does Krueger want to lose the draws? I don't get it.
