Did Tencer just offhandedly remark that MacT is in Russia right now? What's he doing there?

We're signing Igor Ulanov?

Probably scouring the KHL ranks for usable players. Lord knows that NHL players don't want anything to do with Edmonton.

He's putting in more effort than Tambellini so far.

Who else just checked if Toby Petersen was playing in the KHL?

That's still a pretty sweet call.

Hey now, Tambo was in Sweden a couple of years ago trying to court Viktor Fasth.

That gif needs to be circulated around more. I'd rather watch the much-maligned Molly Shannon than the Oilers right now.

This is totally unacceptable... I'm sick of these lottery finishes hopefully Mac T can get this circus back on track to a more respectable team. The only bright spot at the game was seeing a duck fan get showered with beer

At least with Quinn, if the team sucked he told you exactly that. Players got put on the spot for playing ******. The other thing that pissed me off was Whitney's bs comments. I would have scratched him for opening his big trap just for that. Useless tit.

If Kruger was a real coach he would be bag skating them right now since they obviously didn't work too hard during the game. I don't know what game Dorkoff was watching but obviously he has concussion symptoms. Pull up some players from the minors and bench the la la la losers that are already booking their t times on the golf course.

People (myself included) said the same thing about Colin Fraser. Look at him now .... a useful cog on an above average team.
I remember him schooling our "top line" hard one night a few months ago.
Either these guys aren't being used properly, or they arrive in Edmonton, look around the room and figure "hey, nobody else is trying too hard here, why should I bust my hump".

Either that or modern NHL players don't give a **** about this franchise, this fanbase; they're only here for a paycheck before skipping out of town.

Tonight he was pretty complimentary about Gagner. Said Gagner was one the few guys on the team who was trying his hardest game in and game out. Said Gagner was one of a handful of guys on the team with the compete level required to be a winner. Said it must be terrible for a young man like Gagner to have experienced nothing but losing for his entire career. Said Gagner was one of the few guys (mentioned Hall and Horc as well) who were always willing to talk to the media no matter how badly the team was going or how badly they had personally played that night.

If you didn't hear Gagner's post game comments you should listen to them. I've never heard him sound more depressed.

That's a scary thought - how many times have new players left within 1-2 seasons after being mediocre here, just to turn into extremely useful players?

Lupul, Pitkanen, Visnovsky, Souray, Fraser, Sykora come to mind

I love this. It really reminds me of the Oilers' situation. If I went to Daryl Katz with a similar rant I'd probably get the same response.

Here's a video with Belanger's pre-game comments... doesn't sound as bad as some were thinking...

http://video.oilers.nhl.com/videocen...id=4&id=241518

I think many of us are just predisposed to disliking him (and many other under-performing Oilers) at this stage after yet another disappointing season.

Definitely. It's like they view playing here as a death sentence.

Granted, Sykora played hard here (despite his -20 +/- rating) 23 goals and 58 points is a good season and by all accounts he wanted to re-sign... Lowe just wasn't interested.

So do we still have a chance to finish last this season? What is the worst place where we could end up, 25 or worse?

How can we expect the players to play with emotion when the coach shows none. I bought into this hype last summer that this Ralph Kruger guy was this great motivational guy that was gonna do wonders for this team. WOW he has been the exact opposite of what this team needs. Hate blaming the coach when the players look useless, but this coach is so blah to me.

I think the question should be why the players have looked so useless under 4 different coaches more than anything.

Remember how #Oilers were going to make hay with 7 of last 9 at home? With 5 of those in the books,0-5-0, 6 GF,18 GA,not even a 1-goal game
What a wonderful "thank you" for the Tier 1 fans who bother to show up night in, night out.
