Kesler?

Malhotra didn't do much. Kelser's come off two separate injuries this season and has come back strong as ever.

Markov from the Habs. Probably the favourite to win it.

Malhotra continued playing and being a leader even with only 70% vision out of his eye.

Just playing this year should be enough to get him nominated.

Markov for Montreal.

http://canadiens.nhl.com/club/l_fr/news.htm?id=667095

Quote:

Not positive on that. If Harding plays a game I say he's ahead of Markov.

Toronto's is Nazem Kadri. He showed dedication by persevering through his arduous process from surefire bust to legitimate top 6 NHL talent :sarcasm

Tom Poti would have fit for the Capitals. He missed like two years with a ruined groin, was publicly written off by GMGM, but kept working and got himself healthy enough to play this year. He's too slow and sucks now, though, so he hasn't played regularly/in a while.

Ryan Smyth is the Oilers candidate. Should he win? Not in a million years.

Hopefully the Pens will nominate Matt Cooke again. Granted he tried to cut a guy's leg off, but at least it wasn't a headshot.

Rossi said it was Crosby for the Pens.

Guess he can be trusted in easily verifiable facts like this, right?

Ovechkin makes more sense. The award is for perseverance. -not necessarily borne of physical injury.

Edit: Just saw Poti got the nomination. Lame.
