IT/99 - Did you ever hear of William Attwell before the U18s?

I brought him up a couple times but you never responded

Sounds about right lol he was playing the GTHL and they try to keep player info top secret.

I tried looking him up in that GB hockey database thing and didn't see his name anywhere (granted I donno what teams to look at, my GB geography isn't strong lol)

I still can't get over his hands, for U18 Div 2 that was quality stuff. He's the type of tiny player you don't mind, awesome ability with the puck and speed to boot. Downside is you can't throw him on a GB roster at any level in a grinder role because he looks like he might get rag dolled.

Article in German but it is understandable with google translate

"Joseph is a young Brit who fits into our concept. In addition, he has already proven that he can, "said team manager Thorsten light.

The 20-year-old Lewis is from Wales and moved to the 2009/10 season in the German junior league (DNL) for Iserlohn EC. A year later, he was active in the same class for the EV Fussen before it to the Duisburg Foxes, the league rivals the polar bear pulled him last year. There, the striker came under light on a scorer average of 1.5 points per game, and aroused the interest of the hammer responsible. "Joseph knows where the door is. And he is one who always gives 100 percent. We have taken the first building block, "said the team manager of polar bears - and adds:" He is a nice boy. "

"Joseph Luigi"

Looks like that team he signed with was a recent promotion from Germany 4 and they haven't exactly been good since joining Germany 3 Might mean more ice time for him though

Looks like Texas (Scott Conway) will not be getting any further in the playoffs. They're down 5-1 after 2 right now in game 2 and they got beat up in game 1 as well (It's a best of 5 so 1 more game and they're out).

He's still been one of the best players on the ice for Texas each game and that's rare for a U18 player in the NAHL, it's mostly known for 19-20 year olds. 54 points in 57 games was the most of all U18 players in the NAHL, last years top U18 players were Kyle Schremp with 35 in 59 (went on to USHL last season and is committed to Ferris State University) and Zack Pochiro with 34 in 52 (went on to post 39 points in 65 games with Prince George Cougars WHL)

USHL Draft starts May 6th - I'm kind of expecting him to get picked up in it (I believe they have two)

I'm sure I've asked before but what are the chances of him getting NHL drafted?

very very very unlikely. NAHL usually produces goalies and that's it because there's rarely good skaters in the NAHL. With that said, if someone saw him while watching a goalie they could throw a 7th round pick on him, still unlikely.

Colin Shields was drafted out of NAHL back in the day but he was 20 and had 95 points in 55 games.

What looks very very very likely for him is a scholarship from a good NCAA School in the next couple years and a spot on a USHL roster next season.

Ah yes I've just been through the final rankings and he's not ranked at all under NA skaters

Last few NAHL skater drafted:

Only the last guy was 18 when he was drafted out of the ole NAHL.

It's unlikely but not impossible

In other news, a British player was taken in the NFL draft 2nd round, apparently he's only been playing the sport for 2 years.

What was I saying to J17 vs Proclamation about other sports not requiring you to start playing as soon as you can walk in order to succeed

Football (American) is like that all the time, there's always a number of stories of kids who started playing in College and end up NFL draft picks.

There are 3 Brits trying to get picked up lol

Conway also named to the NAHL All-Rookie Second Team (Some/most of the All-Rookie teams are '93/'94 borns)

Bobby Chamberlain is coming back to Hull http://www.eliteleague.co.uk/chamber...t-hull-p183621

Quote:
Player-coach Sylvain Cloutier said: “I am really excited to have Bobby back in the group.

“When he went over to North America I told him my door was always open if and when he wanted to come back. We have kept in touch and I am happy to have him with us again...

Chamberlain is delighted to be returning to Hull and hopes to make a significant contribution next season.

He said: “I am really excited to be back. I went away for a year and it was a good experience for me and I have grown up a little bit. I just felt it was the right time to come back.

“I am older and stronger now and I want to be effective and be a presence on the ice. I will do whatever it takes to help the team.

It's a tier 3 Junior A league in USA. Below the NAHL

See that means nothing to me

Here we simply have Major Junior(OHL/QMJHL/WHL), Jr. A, Jr. B, Jr. C

The US junior system is a mess after USHL & NAHL because there's so many leagues throughout the country and they're all different qualities
