Broken water at 230 am. At the hospital. Let the fun begin.
Best of luck Chris. Although all you'll really be able to do is pace, go get ice chips, get yelled at for offering ice chips, try to be supportive, get yelled at for breathing on her funny, and then watch the most wondrous thing in the universe happen. The thing that will change you forever.
Actually, I take that back. We went to the hospital and were admitted at 2am. I think her water broke earlier that day around 5 or 6pm, we went to the hospital and they sent us home.
So I revise my time to 9:50pm tonight
My family was running a pool on the week when my wife would give birth. She was in a hospital for the entire last month of pregnancy and EVERY day the doctor would say "It's going to happen today." One day he said that it's all quiet, and we went out to a cafe across the street from the hospital. I barely made it home after dinner when my wife called an said that her water broke. In olden Soviet times we were not allowed inside the hospitals and were reduced to pacing around the building.
