You guys keep saying you don't want to play the leafs in the first round...well, finishing fourth has an even worst outcome. Should we beat the laughs, wed face the pens in the second round...yaaaaa.
Should we beat the leafs, the way things are going, that would be HUGE for this fan base. I'm not sure what the point is about being afraid of the Pens. We'd have to face them OR the team that beat them at some point, right? Loss to the pens, excusable. Loss to the leafs, very inexcusable. If we can 2010 our way through these playoffs, there's no stopping what we can do. Pens were pretty damn good that year too.

Good if true. The way he plays is unforgivable.

Although I don't think it'll come to that.

EDIT: Moen officially out. Good stuff. Hopefully he gets his **** back together.

Big fan of Moen, was happy when we re-signed him long term, but he has been very disappointing this year. He was very really an aggressive player when it comes to fighting and stuff, but I believed that the pervious coaching staff kinda wasn't the type that wanted players to play on their toes. I really thought Prust and a coach like MT would make him a bit more aggressive, but nothing, hopeful this is a wake up call for him.

Not going to make excuse, and I hate when ppl give excuse for players who are playing badly, but maybe the concussion he suffered last year might have something to do with it?

It's been more than a year now. Look at Colton Orr play after his serious injury, and tell me it's an excuse for Moen not to be aggressive.

Engelland happened. Orr nearly had to put an end to his career after that. Huge concussion and all. Inactive for almost two years.

ohh ****

I remember Burke sending him down, but I thought it was because he felt like the goon role was done in the NHL, not because Orr wasn't really fighting because of concussion.

In fact, most will say they thought he would never play in the NHL ever again. But he persisted, tried harder, and finally got back where he was before this injury. His concussion was much more severe than Moen's too.

So I don't want to put the blame on his injury. It would be too easy. He clearly came in this year with the intention of not competing. He has to give us more. And quite honestly, I just hope we'll get rid of him this summer. He's horrible.

Agree, I hope he comes back and plays better, because can be a really good player, very good defensively, but if not, trade him to the Oilers for a pick and sign Patrick Bordeleau this summer.

I hope the defense tightens up in this game. That's been killer during this stretch.

Predicting a 3-1 win.

Maybe Bergevin COULD try to trade Moen for Lucic ?

If a 6 million $ player like Lucic can be sat, a 4th liner like Moen can certainly be sat, and bought out.
