Jagr'e commitment and dedication to the game is amazing. A few of the B's could learn a thing or two from him.

I suppose the games I've seen Bryz he hasn't looked bad....but I'd clearly defer to the Flyer fan that I'm sure has watched more games than I have.

I sometimes wonder how people's perception (not you specifically, just in respect to the general "hockey" or Flyer fan") of Bryz on ice is influenced by Bryz "off ice." I think we all know about goalies, beat of a different drummer, ect....

I like the Flyers and have for many years, which is why it's so puzzling to see a team with a lot of talent struggle so bad. The injury list certainly lends some credence to that. What an odd season for the Broad Street faithful.

Much of it lies on Lavi and Homer. Homer steadily brought in players not suited for Lavi's system, which really neutered the offense. In turn, Lavi has done very little to adjust and has made some pretty questionable personnel choices. Add the steady stream of defensive injuries and shaky goaltending, and there wasn't really any way this year would go well.

Can you explain in your opinion how Holmgren is still GM of this team. He gave up on Bobrosky to early, traded both Richards and Carter, basically remaking that team, he brings in ANOTHER goalie, in Bryz and pays him crazy money. Most GM's will be fired long time ago

Sounds like a case of "As Lucic goes, the Bruins go"

Correct and i would like to add that it sounded like Lucic better up or he has too go. One thing i like about cam is that he doesn't sugar coat anything.

Bryz is probably on Snider's shoulders, more than Homer's. After that, there wasn't a lot of point at the time keeping Bob (most Flyers fans knew he'd be dealt when Bryz signed long-term, and were sad about it), but I suspect they hang on to him if they know amnesty buyouts would have come into play. Who really knows, though. Based on Homer's past goalie choices, I don't think he would have gone with Bryz on his own. He has shown a tendency to take on projects/attempt to rehab retreads. I think Biron can fall in that category, as well as Emery, Leighton, and Bob (as a project initially...one Snider didn't have the patience for), and Mason fits that bill as well. As for Richards, Carter, Gagne getting shipped due to the inevitabilities of poor asset management in a cap world...that's on Homer.

TL;DR: I have no idea, but I bet he gets a chance to right the ship.

Not official but very likely per herald and 98.5

http://bostonherald.com/sports/bruin...ight_in_philly

It appears Dougie Hamilton, who scored in the 3-0 win over Florida, will be scratched. The 19-year-old rookie had been scratched in three of the previous five games. Julien said that the scratches have been mostly due to giving the Hamilton, who has played more hockey than anyone this year, a chance to rest, but he also added that he's facing an issue that probably only time will take care of.

“Right now it's been an opportunity to learn a lot in a short span about the pro game and one of the issues is how strong the players are he's playing against compared to the ones he was used to (in juniors),” said Julien.

Ridiculous in my opinion........ this stuff makes me hate Claude.

Somehow I doubt that's being seriously considered.

Thanks for the link.

I understand the frustration, but I'll wait to see the lineup for game 1 of the playoffs before I get really upset. I think we would have seen these rests earlier in the year if the defense had stayed healthy all year.

I'm hoping Seidenberg gets some days off to close out the year. He's going to be important for a playoff run, and he has certainly seemed tired and/or injured at times this year.

Talbot is probably a loss in the forward corps. Either way Flyers are pretty banged up although I don't think their injury list gets the focus in the same way the Sens and Pens do. Probably because the injuries are to their depth rather than some key players.

I think close gets a chubby scratching high 1 st round picks. Every rookie he has handed the reigns to has been an under the radar guy
