I'm not sure if people are serious when they say that "A trade must be coming"... If they are serious... Infinite facepalm. Infinite.

All this is, is injury insurance and rewarding players from the farm, people! You can't just risk going into the playoffs without any reserves skating. What happens if by the third or fourth round, you have lost four roster guys and have no regular "healthy scratched players" to replace them all? Are you just going to call a kid up from the AHL who has been on holidays and hasn't been on skates for the past 3 weeks? This is just to have some back up bodies skating and learning the system just in case they are called upon, and to give the kids a taste of life in the big leagues.

Also, Collberg, Hudon, and Kristo were not "called up" because they have not adjusted to pro hockey yet. They all have played less than 10 games for the Bulldogs, which isn't enough to warrant a call up. It doesn't mean that they aren't good enough or aren't part of our future, it just means that they aren't ready yet and other players are.

Collberg and Hudon don't have any contracts... Kristo, its a mystery.

You have work to do, young lad.

This is HF, everything the light touches is trolled.

Everyone is a bust here.

Though "Louis Lebust' does roll off the tongue better than most.

Last time the Habs should gamble on someone from the *shudder* West Island.

They should lock Leblanc in a weight room. Seriously, he has no excuse to still be this frail and weak.

Having the young players around the team in the playoffs must be pretty good for their development. I'd tell them that they should be ready to play in case of injuries or scratches, so they'd feel the playoffs for real.

I'm actually hoping to see one of Tinordi or Bournival in the playoffs.

I don't get the non callup of St-Denis and in the case of Kristo I would have rather seen him callup since they are burning a year of his ELC anyway but it might not be a bad idea to let him go home and rest. He now has a taste for what the AHL will be like so hopefully he hits the gym hard over the summer.

This is just the taxi squad for the playoffs eh? I think that only playoff teams whose farm teams aren't in the playoffs usually do this.

I'm not too surprised by any of the players on the list. It makes sense. Although it would have been really interesting to see Kristo selected, as he had just started with the team on his first pro contract. With him being off the list, it seems he still needs some seasoning in the minors before making the jump.

Could well be the 3rd line next season with Ryder gone.

Actually, if these three guys -all first round picks - play to their potential, il could become a very good line. I think they can complement each other.

Id like to see this against Winnipeg:

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Gionta
Bourque - Galchenyuk - Gallagher
Leblanc - Eller - Ryder
Bournival - Nokelainen - Armstrong

Rest Prust and Halpern before the playoffs and bench Desharnais and Moen.

I don't know if it was just wishful thinking, but I heard on CJAD that Tinordi was called up early to meet the team in WPG.

Confirmed: http://fr.canoe.ca/sports/nouvelles/...24-082220.html

You could bench Bourque and Ryder too. Both are useless. And play Dumont and Blunden instead.
