If Holmgren really wanted to win us over, he would also announce that Briere won't be in the line-up for the remaining 3 games either.

At least that would show us that his Uselessness won't be on this team next season and they will keep him out of the line-up to make sure that happens one way or another

Yea I'm not sure why we wouldn't. And it is his call over lavi as it would be his buyout decision. The single most important person stopping us from tank is finally getting rest. Very good.

Id konan plays would be surpised if he gets a look. Has a really good hard slapshot.

In the end will most likely be Foster

Hey Mason!

Last time our defense looked like this, it was while Timonen was out in March last year. Bryz got shelled hard in a few games; that was the period where he straight up stole a few wins. It's probable Mason will be tested even harder, looking at this group...we at least had Grossmann and a competent Coburn then. It's going to be interesting to see how he fares. It'll also be interesting to see how Luke Schenn does as a #1.

Hopefully there's enough "rough stuff" to keep this one entertaining.

Lucic has been playing horribly recently(actually all year), watch out for him tonight. We know how struggling players perform against us.

We're facing a backup goalie as well.

This video seems extremely fitting.

I've noticed that. Every single struggling player scores past us, every game. Add this to the fact that all superstars have a field day against us, you consider it a miracle that we ever win a game.

Should have a pretty emotional start what with all the tributes to the people of Boston that worked so hard last week. Not to mention the 50/50 raffle proceeds as well as the auctioned game-worn apparel going to charity.

Flyers need to be equally charitable, give Boston 2 points.

Oh yeah, and there's Jagr here tonight, too.

I'm pretty sure Lauridsen didn't think he'd be a top pairing defenseman in the NHL this year

It appears that Lilja will play and not Konan but official rosters aren't set yet.

well that's stupid. why play vets like lilja and foster who are only gonna get 12 min and don't have a future with the organization over any prospect, regardless of if they have legit shot at an NHL career. i kinda understand playing lilja as his NHL career is probably done after this but why play foster then?
