So who is going to be post 674? Will Teemu make an account just to be the 674th account because he truly is that evil?

The CBA actually had a rule about this, but the extra section bumped the document up to 674 pages. That was clearly unacceptable, so the section was removed and it became a double-secret rule.

I can confirm this as true and factual.

Burn the witch!

Teemu's Birthday: July 3, 1970

1970 + 7 = 1977

1977 / 3 = 659

Selšnne, the surname of his family, has seven letters. 659 + 7 = 666

Teemu is 6 ft tall, 6.

Teemu scored 76 goals in his rookie season, he was drafted 10th overall...

76 - 10 = 66. He scored 132 points that year 1 + 3 + 2 = 6.

Teemu was born in Helsinki, HELsinki.

Proof of dark forces at work? I think so. How is it that he has hidden all this from us until now? Who knows.

Nerdsnipe: when the previous poster asked if Teemu's past his prime, I first thought: 'is 673 prime?'

Got my answer right there.

Good point. Teemu has 79 playoff points in his NHL career.

Those are divided up into two categories, goals and assists,

7 + 9 = 16

16 / 2 = 8

The clues are always in the numbers. ALWAYS.

Obviously moot point if he scores another

But will this put an asterix by his rookie scoring record?

Nobody in NHL history has ever retired with 674 goals. That's the way it always has been, and that's the way it always should be. Then along comes Teemu freaking Selanne, and without a care in the world, he's about to ruin this for everyone.

I believe it has to. In fact, should Teemu retire at 674, all of his rookie season goals should be considered null and void. Simply unacceptable behaviour on his part.

It's okay, he's playing the Canucks on Thursday so he's likely to score at least 2 goals

IMO Teemu was a bust

Had a great rookie season but didn't amount to much past then

No surprise here folks, one of the most classless guys in the league

Just look at him stand there, he was probably taunting Kampfer after the hit. The guy is a joke

For anyone that is taking this seriously, I'm wearing a Selanne jersey right now so calm down I'm joking haha

Capgeek's player ID# 674 is Shane O'Brien.

Shane O'Brien has 88 career points. He was drafted in the 8th round. His career +/- is PLUS 17. 1 PLUS 7 = 8.
