Patches needs a to take different shots. 45 degree shots from the blue line aren't working

They have two serious problems, finishing and goaltending. Brodeur is finished.

...except tonight he's getting a shutout.

fair enough. I just think, with Gallagher kind of slumping (energy wise), we need a guy like dumont in there, especially, like you say, the way prust is not playing.

Desharnais worthless against the boards again... And Pacioretty seems to ice the puck a lot lately, when he's so close to center ice...

Yea OK it was only 1 shift, but Prust disapointed me on that one. Agreed with the poster above saying Prust is probably not 100%

This exactly what the doc ordered for the habs. If we can beat them, it will be good for the morale.

I think they're looking much better then they have the past few games. People are overreacting, they're really competing out there.

There's some good signs right now. We're not looking too bad but we to take control of this game. We're being rushed in their end. Time to slow it down and possess the puck.

He's having one of those good/bad games. Makes some really good plays, then some bad ones cuz he's trying to do too much. Stared the game with a big hit too. That pass to Gally could have been better since he didn't have control of the puck before passing it, he just slapped it.

Is the new plan to flip in into the air either out of the rink or for an icing?

Yeah, I don't really understand the panic. They don't look particularly good, but they look "normal" again.

Just win is all I ask. Clearly the Tampa game didn't do anything because they were just snakebitten and Carey did the rest. That same effort got us pasted 5-1 by the Caps. A win would give us a morale boost and hopefully we'd view the next 2 games as playoff tune-ups considering the buildings and rivals will be intense. Lose tonight and not only are we looking out of answers for the post-season, we'll also have almost no shot at the division (would have to beat Jets in desperation mode then Toronto while having Boston lose 2 of their last 4 which is possible considering the Caps, Flyers and Sens pose a challenge to a slumping- but unlike us not freefalling- Bruins team. But we'll fail to hold up our end of the bargain at this pace). The way the Habs are going, maybe they used up their karma in all those wins where we were trailing by 1 or 2 and came back Winning a series or not, Bergevin's directives are to get stronger on D, bulk up the forward ranks and bring some general toughness though not necessarily goons.
