Maybe Hitch demoted Perron because he knows of all the forwards he could demote, Perron is the one who would actually respond.

Found it pretty funny McLeod went for a revenge hit and Backes was so solid McLeod just bounced off and wobbled.

McLeod is a moron.

Perron with the sick feed to Steen. That's almost two gimme goals in the past two games that Steen has flubbed. C'mon now.

I'm sure Stewie and Shatty just love scoring against Colorado. They play well against them.

That thought occurred to me too. Demoting Perron seems to have produced results in several Blues that were struggling. Stewart scored. I noticed Berglund. McDonald still is ineffective, but I think he is just out of gas for his career. Perron doesn't seem like the type to slump his shoulders too much. He seems to actually get fueled by some adversity.

Perron also played just under 6 and a half minutes that period, so he is still seeing the ice.

Right, it's the Demotion That Never Was. I think Hitchcock trusts Perron's inner drive. As 2MM and The Organist were saying earlier, Perron is a professional, a player you can count on to not pout but look within and respond. Nobody goes from bantam whatever to the NHL in such a short period without the ability to critique his own game and fix a problem.

Pretty good first period. We seem to be able to get the forecheck going easier than last game and we seem to be getting out of our zone better than last game so far.

Perron went hard to the net too. Looks like he woke up, hopefully he puts some numbers up.
