We have enough offence on the back end with Diaz Markova and Subban.
We need balance. Find me good strong hard hitting mobile nasty bad boys.
Normand Rochefort types Engblom Langway he'll even Lyle Odie types.
Funny how we have 24 cups and somehow lost the recipe...

If there is a tie between Habs and Leafs at season end, who gets home ice advantage?

With Emelin in for almost all of it.

Problem is that everyone looks sooo tired. When you're tired, you make bad plays and it's a domino effect. It can't be an excuse though, it's just apparently the stamina we have right now.

Markov is going to collapse on the ice. Even Gallagher looks like he's huffing it.

Leafs currently have more ROW.

We don't need a top 10 in the NHL defenseman?

It's never going to get done, but saying we don't need Pietrangelo isn't smart. Every team needs a perennial norris candidate.

Habs really don't want to win their Division... Boston losing too, tonight. Better 1st round pick, I guess.

Play him and Emelin together. It seems as though Volchenkov is not quite as Physical as in his Ottawa days though. Was it him that flattened Cammalleri in Ottawa and neary broke his leg?

Pietrangelo? But apparently he's not good enough for us.

Groulx and Price have developed this system where both legs are down to cover the entire bottom of the net, that's fine, except that when you are in close and tight, you can't get to that side of the net, and if you do, you have time to get that leg down and follow across.

Yes, when the puck is down below the face-off dot, he gets down into that crab position. It's terrible and I don't like it. It has nothing to do with Price being a bad goalie.. it's the style they've integrated and how it's flawed.
Not flawed, just not perfected. You know that the position is fluid. Go back to when Rollie tried to change Price and almost destroyed him. Groulx and Price work as a team. If it doesn't pay off, they will scrap it. Now is as good a time as any to experiment....I suppose.

Seriously? Volchy is terrible these days and makes a ridiculous amount of money.

Of 8 defenseman in New Jersey that have played over 20 games, he ranks... 8th in TOI. He plays less than 16 minutes a game for almost $4M per season. Long-term.

not that we don't WANT Pietrangelo, but he's not what we NEED right now, beside we already have the Black Knight

what we need is a good defensive Dman, or maybe 2

It's flawed.. it exposes net and limits his mobility. They'll fix it in the off season, I'm almost sure of it.

He's still capable of crushing a player, and even if he doesn't have the same mean streak he did in Ottawa he's still a damn good hockey player.

I really liked the Oilers move earlier this year getting Mark Fistric...He would've been a nice shrewd acquisition

I'd got for O'Byrne rather than Karlsson to be honest. Or even Erskine. How would one expect Karlsson to move a guy like Lucic from the front of the net?

For a bottom pairing defenseman? He's a shot blocker and a hitter. I'd rather pay him than DD.

Too soft! We need only need big D! Obyrne fills our need more than Karlsson or Pietrangelo.
