You could be half right. I wouldn't be surprised if teams sometimes aggressively postpone early season games so they can play them after the school year ends in nicer weather for larger attendance.

If they're forced to play day/night doubleheaders during the work week, that really isn't going to help.

They're gonna have to start winning some games if they expect to get 15K in the park any point the rest of the year, Cubs games excluded.

Blues and Wolves sign 3-year affiliation agreement.

https://twitter.com/chicago_wolves/s...59225802371072

Remember, the Wolves have always been a win first, second, and third, develop fourth type of organization, so this is a blessings in disguise for them to affiliate with a rival.

I'd rather they be with an Eastern team I don't care about and can casually follow on the side. Thrashers were perfect in that role.

Root for the team in the AHL, but hope they develop poorly. Easy enough.

Sure, it's be ideal if they were the farm team of some random team like Ottawa or something, but honestly not that big of a deal... at least to me.

Used to like the Wolves. Since they've been Canuck/Blue prospects... No thanks. No sense in growing fond of players I'll soon hate.

Yep, that's where I'm at. I'll go to a game every now and again, it's cheap entertainment, but couldn't really care about them now. With a different affiliate, I'd probably go more.

If Nyarko keeps up this level of play, he's not long for MLS. He's been a bright spot on a very mediocre team.

His .159 BABIP isn't helping. It'll even out.

40% Ks wouldn't mean jack if he was hitting bombs and walking like he had been before coming here.

Ks aren't the issue with Dunn, anyone who understands who he is supposed to be will tell you that.

Actually it is a big part of it. His K rates are significantly higher with the Sox than they have been for most of his career.

Right...because he isn't doing other things.

Again, the issue isn't striking out by itself. The issue is not hitting homers and walking, which in turns leads to a bit more strikeouts.

And now that friggen Manto has gotten him to change his approach to start free swinging at 1st pitches he's much worse. His patience at the plate and ability to take walks has always been a huge part of his value.

Striking out more is basically equal to hitting less home runs and walking less for Dunn.

Exactly. All those at bats where he was contributing have became ones where they were not.

What I'm saying is that the guy is GOING to strike out a ton even in years when he is great. The issue isn't that he's striking out a lot because he always does that. The issue is that he's turned the good at bats into additional strikes out on top of the very high total.

It's been a few weeks, give it time and he'll make the adjustments.

Maybe he's been figured out like Samardzija was last year.

That match has so many undertones too, it's Bayern not only beating Barca but taking the title of best team in the world. They already have one of the most talented team, they just sign Goetz from Dortmund and all signs point to them adding Lewandowski as well. They are building a monster over there.

Really sad about Dortmund, they build this amazing young squad but will likely just be a feeder system for big teams, kind of like what Arsenal have become.
