I think just using your avatar would accomplish the same thing without crossing the line. Maybe change the hashtag to be #dirtycaptain instead.

Just saw that Backstrom save on Voynov with 11 sec left. Channeling his inner Hasek i guess! What a hell of a pass to set that up though.

Again, shows how much effort MIN put into this game (getting amped up for us): Suter played freaking 32:17. Brodin 29:22. Rode them into the ground for tonight.

Edit: Oh crap we had another disallowed goal tonight too? Where was this ref to catch high sticks the other night

Sorry just catching up on all the action now

The Kings, this year, are not going to match that kind of intensity. We haven't had a regular season game mean that much to the franchise, fan base, etc in a long time.

Even still, despite Minnesota literally going into defensive shell mode from that point forward, we still ground our way back into the game and nearly tied it up with not one but two quality scoring chances.

Speaks volumes about the natural skill level of the team to even make a game out of that when we clearly had no business matching their energy and compete from the get go.

Just another growing phase for the team, learning how to match desperate teams on nights where we really don't need the points and don't have anything to prove. Compared to Anaheim's cakewalk schedule over the past few games, we've played three teams (Columbus, Dallas, and Minnesota) who are all fighting for their playoff lives and still went 2-1.

I thought there was nothing wrong on the Brownie hit. Will take another look at it.

Sadly, I think we're doing that with some of the stuff we say on the main boards lately. =/ not all by any means, but some really get baited in by idiots. Myself included a few days ago.

Why because some guys act like jackasses on the main board I'm a bandwagoner? Sorry, I hate homerism even if it's my own team. I'm 19 and have liked the Kings since the year before the 04-05 lockout, so I've been through some ****** years as a young guy. But I appreciate you being a ***** about it. Actually very offended right now.

I asked a question because I haven't seen you here until this year so I was asking. I wasn't trying to get you mad. Just asking a question and you took it the wrong way.

It seems to me all year Kopitar has trouble with his balance skating at fast pace with the puck. He is afraid to go through the middle and looks very unstable and slow. Wonder if it is that knee brace holding him back. I doubt Kings make deep run again with Kopitar playing perimeter game.

I don't know about Brown's intent though I doubt he'd want to crush anyone's face but that was reckless. Hope Pominville is alright. Now time to take care of Detroit tonight so Jackets can take care of themselves.

I had some major problems with the internet all day yesterday...and to make things worse...the power in my apartment building went out at game time and I missed it completely...

Now I see the Kings lost... It's true...bad things come in threes...

The Wild were a step quicker, and the Kings could barely put one, let alone two passes together. Add to that that the Wild basically had to win that game.

The Kings didn't look great every game heading into the playoffs last year either. The Kings can be a Jekyll and Hyde team sometimes, so, I'll wait to see them in the playoffs. When the Kings make good passes, they're fine. When that passing is even a little off, they don't look good.

As for Brown, if it had happened to a King, I'm guessing we'd be losing our minds a little too. Just part of being a fan.

Suspending Brown for that would be like suspending the window for what it did to the bird.

Got to agree. Pomm was coming in crouched low and leading with his head. Not sure what Brown was supposed to do when he's not even looking at the guy and only bracing himself for the hit.

Tough game last night. Kopitar came out like he was on a mission, then fizzled. Really becoming concerned about his lack of goals. We're not getting much from the bottom lines either, so it's basically Carter, Brown or bust right now and that's not a good place to be. Also, Voynov has been abysmal for a while now, particularly on defense. I really think he needs to sit, but with only two games left that's not really an option.

Here's to hoping for a better effort tonight.
