Don't throw the rocks at me but we all know Tinordi will play with Bouillon.

Defense needs to be re-vamped almost completely for net year. Keep Subban and Gorges the rest can be trade bait. Yes, even Emelin.

We shouldn't have to do this 2 games before the PO's.

Diaz? He is quite good. Markov will likely retire a Hab and I'll be glad for it. Emelin is a solid D man. We really only need to stay healthy and have 1 impact Douglas Murray/Regher/Sidenberg type come in. Cube is gonna be around for support anyway.

You say trade Emelin when it is clear he had a major impact on this team. You don't find strong, clean hitting D like that who have also vastly improved skills such as shooting, skating, passing (you know, everything). The kids are still too young and need to develop in the AHL. Tinordi could make the jump, but I'd rather he be playing less games and hitting the gym hard.

Happy to see Tinordi back with the back club!!

Disappointed that Therrien's love affair with Bouillon will scratch Weber, who has been one of the best three defenseman since returning the line-up, but Tinordi brings an element we need.

Weber will be out.

I just hope that MT will play Tinordi on his good side this time. Like they did with Beaulieu.

Tinordi will be much more confident on his side and more physical too.

About time.

Markov-Diaz
Gorges-Subban
Tinordi-Bouillon

I much prefer this, in fact it's the ideal pairings with what we have. Tinordi is exactly the type of defenseman that Markov needs, just look at how he's played with the likes of Emelin and Komisarek.

My first pairings were a little more realistic, even though Markov-Subban has just been a tease in practice thus far. At least we know that's a possibility MT is considering.

I do think we'll see Tinordi play with Bouillon initially. But for better or for worse, he's in our lineup, hopefully, and on the PK.

I'll take that at this point.

I'm happy to see Tinordi back with the team. We can use him.
The primary reason Bouillon is used this much is because he's Therrien's boy.

Not to toot my own horn, but I did call this when he signed here. Something along the lines of "the new Darche".

No one should be surprised to see it's come true. MT and Cube go wayyy back.

Same goes for Armstrong, there is no room for a misplaced man-crush in the NHL.

Anyway, I'm glad Tinordi's along for the ride and hope that LJV hits the bench. I gotta say Weber's been a good sport though, I think he'll get moved at the end of this season.

I think this will help his development since the dogs season is over. Right?

Armstrong and Bouillon are serviceable pieces to this team. Not like we brought in some no-name fringe NHLer at his behest.

With Diaz in the line up, Weber is not needed. We need the size of Tinordi and the grit of Bouillon way more.

I would also give a rest to Markov.

Unless it is an injury we don't know about, I'm pretty sure Weber will be the guy who sits out. He didn't play all year because he was thought expendable, and he did nothing in the past few games to change perceptions, in my opinion.

Markov should perhaps play a bit LESS, but he isn't worse than Weber. Neither is Bouillon. Those are good vets. Diaz and Weber can't both be in the lineup at the same time, and Weber is the softer of the two.

Agreed on both accounts, and Diaz has already proven to be the better NHLer between him and Weber anyway.

Weber definitely deserves a chance to play somewhere. The games he has played lately(4) he's been solid in each and looked good on the PP. The only negative in his case is not his fault it's that we have too many guys that play his style.

Trading him for a pick or prospect in the off season is logical. Given how he's played recently and past success last year at times, I'd be shocked if we can't get at least a 3rd for him(or comparable value).

Tinordi, not Beaulieu, should have been the callup after Emelin went down.
Therrien getting desperate... just four days ago he answered that there would not be any help from Hamilton.

I find Weber is more physical and grittier, but Diaz is the better overall player and more advanced development wise.

Calling up 20 year old d-men and indirectly labelling them "saviours" is not good for their development. Maybe they are now desperate, but if things don't go well with Tinordi he'll sit and somebody else(Drewiske/Weber) will play.

Weber was one of the only defenseman who was actually winning puck battles yesterday. It was nice to see. Shocked me, actually.

I'd consider "resting" Gorges, Bouillon or Markov and letting Weber play the next 2 games.. Weber has been decent and the 3 mentioned players have been terrible the last few weeks.

Woooo ! This team just need one more tall big gritty d-man. It could be a vet obtained thru a trade or ufa, or it could be Tinordi.

Defence is a team concept. If the forwards don't do their job, no d-corp will succeed anyway. A couple of bigger forwards would also help a lot.
