His swing is getting long again, he may be served by being sent down to AAA again.

Yeah I've noticed that too in the handful of games that I've been able to watch.

His hands are too low and he's having trouble getting to balls up in the zone. He's also got a loop in his load now.

It's not the same swing that he had in San Diego, but it's tweaked from last year. Apparently, it's because it fits Sveum's philosophy, which makes me start to dislike Sveum.

Now it's time for Liverpool fans to come out and cry foul and claim him as the victim and make shirts praising him.

Vogelbach is at least 3 years away. He's not even in high A yet.

Its a bit harsh but whatever, it was a stupid thing to do. I wonder if they'll appeal at all.

They shouldn't, they took a ton of flak and rightfully so for defending him so much with the Evra incident.

It's not harsh when you consider this is his 2nd ban for biting an opponent.

Like many of the rest of the prospects. I'll be happy more top picks until then.

I think Cubs fans just need to take a break and allow things to happen. I think too many got too excited about Castro, Rizzo, and Theo coming in and where expecting an immediate turn around.

It's going to be a while and it won't be pretty in the process. Instead of hoping for every prospect to be the guy, and thinking next year is The Year! just relax, trust in Theo and let the process happen. It will likely be 3-4 years before the Cubs are even a playoff team again but unless you go Yankees, Red Sox, Angles, Dodgers with it and spend $100 million in a year this is what it will take.

I don't see any reason to send Rizzo down. Let him play out the year. Why freak out over a bad first few weeks. He'll figure it out. The power numbers are good. His walk rate is good. I don't see the issue.

He is hitting .178 and has an OPB of .268, a guy can hit 40 HR and get away with an .240 avg, not a below .180

Not the same football organization, so there really wasn't any precedent here. Defoe bit someone and got 0 games by the English FA

Everybody goes through rough stretches with their batting average.

There's decent reason to believe that he'll come out of it and that he won't.

Right, its a small sample size, but what he is doing now is not major league quality.

Just let him play the season and see where he ends up. He's got more good things going for him than bad.

In Triple A he can work on things and go develop with out all the attention and hassle of big league media and scrutiny.

Its not his average, its that he's striking out 1 out of every 3 at bats.

Not concerned at all about it. Let's see where he is at later in the season. This season is a just a practice for the Cubs anyway. Work on things, get better, even at the expense of stats.

K rates stabilize in early to mid May, so there's good reason to be worried about it.

Something most of the fan base and media don't realize. The last thing the Cubs need is for Rizzo to start getting booed and being grilled everyday by the media about his avg. K rate and other things. Let him go develope in the minors which is what they are there for.

Not saying send him down now but if it keeps up then do it, its what would be best for both the Cubs and Rizzo in the long run.

No reason to send him down, he has nothing to prove in AAA.

I saw the Jays destroy Travis Snider by overreacting whenever he had a bad 100 PA. It sucked.
