I can't possibly root for another team, I don't know how anyone can. I can actively root against teams, but never for them. I'm a one team man and that's not something you can split.

In the East I'm rooting for the Rangers because they draft a lot of Americans.

In the West I'm hoping the Blues do well, they've been my #2 team for a while.

Bob in the West, Isles in the East... but more than anything, anyone but Pittsburgh... or the Rags... or the Leafs...

I like to see Bob do well (as I like his work ethic and drive), I can't cheer for a team... this playoffs will be long... I want Toronto to lose as well as Montreal. If Winnipeg gets in I'll follow them.

Well, there's different degrees of "rooting for a team". Plus, if you're indifferent to everything, why watch it? Personally, I pick a favourite in every game I watch, be it hockey or, well, I don't watch anything else

Out West I like Minny, LA, and the Blue Jackets mostly because of Bob, East the Bruins and anyone playing the Pens or the Devils

A B P Anyone But Pittsburgh

I'll cheer for my home team, I guess. And I've liked St. Louis since the Mike Liut days.

I can't root for an other team, but I wouldn't mind if the Blue Jackets or Kings makes a run. Really I don't care as long as Pittsburgh doesn't win.

I don't think I could ever legitimately root for any team in the East (outside of simply rooting for teams to beat Pitt/NYR/NYI/TOR/NJD). I personally think it is unacceptable to root for an Atlantic Division team to win it all. You can root for a team like the Isles to make it or to beat the Pens or something, but they are our rival...one that will become even more heated in the coming years when their younger guys mature and one that was very heated in years passed. The rest of the Atlantic is currently involved in huge rivalries with the Flyers. I would never root for them under any circumstances outside of situations when they face each other. You gotta pull for a Western team.

I love NHL hockey first and foremost. that's how you can do it. I do hate most teams tho but there's teams i hate less and then there's toronto who i hate least. you may not root but there's gotta be some team you hate "least". As far as toronto goes, its the one city i'd move to tomorrow if i could talk my wife into it but she hates the cold. place is awesome. It's the best hockey city in the league besides us and they deserve a cup. they'd go insane. plus i always thought they got screwed in '93 even tho i liked Hrudey and gretzky and that team. woulda been a way better final with toronto and montreal. They have suffered enough.

Would love to see the Isles make some noise, they deserve it. Also kind of want to see John Tavares in beast mode

Exactly - I am pulling for the Rangers to finsih 8th because I think they can give the Pens some difficulty. I think the Pens will roll over the Islanders if they play them.

I'll probably pull for Washington, Islanders, and Bruins in the East. In the West, I'll pull for the Blackhawks because I think they stand the best chance to beat the Pens. However, since they have won the President's trophy, they won't win the Cup.

That's debatable. Also I said I personally think it is unacceptable. Rooting for someone in the Atlantic Division, even in the absence of the Flyers, would be like rooting for the guy who is trying to steal or has stolen your girlfriend.

With Gagne off the Kings, not pulling for a Kings repeat. Honestly, I'd be happy to see Bob do well if the Blue Jackets make it. I'll just be pulling for individual players I like, rather than supporting any given team (excepting whoever's playing Pitt, of course.)

While I normally hate all other Atlantic teams, I'm willing to look the other way if the Isles do well. This is their first playoff appearance since their brawl against the Pens back in '11, which made me really happy on an otherwise crappy day, so they get a pass. Once.

There is no debate. There is no fan hand book. People can choose to support a team any way they wish. While I personally have no interest in cheering for a team in the Atlantic I have no problem with those who do. It's just a sport. Not really comparable to a guy who has stolen your girlfriend.

Sharks. I think they're an exciting team to watch plus niemi is extremely underrated.
