Montreal's Number 22 prospect by the fans

Korpikari wins poll #21

Its a long way from the start of the season, so lets to a poll of the top Montreal prospects. Each poll will be open for 2 days, but i may start the next one sooner if there is a clear cut winner of one poll. 40/80 rule (40 vote lead, at least 80 total votes cast) We will not necessarily stop at 20 either, as the voting is still very high, we can keep this going till it loses interest or the regular season starts whichever comes first.

Danis at 25 and Cote at 24 are becoming too old to be considered prospects.
Next adds will be Jimmy Bonneau,

If you want someone added sooner than they are scheduled to be added, just leave a comment to that affect. I will try to make move them up as far as I can, if more than one name is to be added to the next poll i will break the tie by

1) majority of requests.
2) first request if tied.

In case of a Tie as happened in poll #6 I will count Rookie votes manually so post those here as a tie breaker. They will only be counted on a tie, i will not manually count if the vote is won by a close margin.

1.) Andrei Kostitsyn
2.) Carey Price
3.) Guillaume Latendresse
4.) Kyle Chipchura
5.) Mikhail Grabovsky
6.) Alexi Emelin
7.) David Fischer
8.) Ryan O'Byrne
9.) Sergei Kostitsyn
10.) Maxim Lapierre
11.) Jaroslav Halak
12.) Matt D'Agostini
13.) Ben Maxwell
14.) Mathieu Carle
15.) Mathieu Aubin
16.) Juraj Mikus
17.) Ryan White
18.) Jonathan Ferland
19.) Corey Locke
20.) Pavel Valentenko
21.) Oskari Korpikari

Come on people, show some love for Stewart. This guy may have a great potentiel as a 3rd liner that bangs and score once in a while. Nice size, great work ethic, he'll never let you down and work his *** off every shift.

STEWART! STEWART!!!

Heino-Lindberg.

Can we add Cedrick Desjardins, even if he's only owned by Hamilton and not Montreal?

yes we should. It's like Andre Benoit. Those guy consider themselves as habs propriety and they wouldn't sign anywhere else.

No, Benoit was signed by the Habs midway through last year. At the start of the year, he was just signed by Hamilton. Then we gave him a contract.

So there is a big difference there. Until Desjardins - or Gleed for that matter - ink a deal with the Habs, they could technically be signed by any team down the road.

But I guess I'd still be in favour of including Desjardins for the time being.

I know what you mean but I remember an article abour Benoit and he said that even if he could sign anywhere else, he would never do that because he felt that the habs were beind him, etc. Well, I guess it's the same with Desjardins. BTW, why did we invited Picard-Hooper instead of Roy???

Just as a point of interest, I thought I would compare this list with the one that is on Hf Montreal Canadiens homepage. Since Yann Danis was included on that list I bumped up every prospect one spot, making that list a top 19 instead of 20.

This thread - Prospects name - ranked on homepage

1.) Andrei Kostitsyn (2)
2.) Carey Price (3)
3.) Guillaume Latendresse (1)
4.) Kyle Chipchura (4)
5.) Mikhail Grabovsky (5)
6.) Alexi Emelin (8)
7.) David Fischer (6)
8.) Ryan O'Byrne (11)
9.) Sergei Kostitsyn (7)
10.) Maxim Lapierre (16)
11.) Jaroslav Halak (9)
12.) Matt D'Agostini (17)
13.) Ben Maxwell (15)
14.) Mathieu Carle (14)
15.) Mathieu Aubin (12)
16.) Juraj Mikus (10)
17.) Ryan White (NR)
18.) Jonathan Ferland (NR)
19.) Corey Locke (NR)
20.) Pavel Valentenko (NR)
21.) Oskari Korpikari (18)
