Does the veteran max rule apply in the playoffs?

Pardy had to clear waivers when the season started. That why I'm thinking he cant be on Rochester.

Rankin hasn't done much lately. I like the guy but at this point I think he's the next one out.

It'll be interesting to see if they break up Adam's line, which produced a lot in the final two games.

He didn't need waivers. There are no waivers after the trade deadline. He just needed the same paper transaction as Pysyk and Flynn.

According to Kevin O, the Sabres still have not communicated to Cassidy if Grigorenko will be sent down. Nice communication.

Kevin Sylvester had Harry Neale on today and he said Grigo would be sent down after Friday's game.

Probably, but shouldn't they tell the coach of the team he's going to? Unless Cassidy is just playing dumb, which is very possible in this organization.

Catenacci - Varone - Adam
Tarnasky - Ellis - McCormick

Pysyk - Biega
Crawford - Schiestel
Bailen - Mackenzie

The Ellis line matches up against the other teams top line and the other 3 should be able to produce offense.
How close are these to the current lines? Or to put it another way, how realistic are these lines?

Probably not very. Cassidy likes to spread out his offense for some reason. He'll put a scorer like Mancari with Schofield or Legault. Quite frankly, I think his lines usually suck. My guess is I won't even be close. But I think those lines are well put together.

Any word on if Chad Ruhwedel will be sent down for the playoffs?

Aren't Foligno and COHO eligible to be sent down the Roch for the playoffs?

No to all three.

The only help they'll get from Buffalo will be Flynn and Pysyk.

Forgot about him, but he probably ends up being a non-factor anyways.

Since Assat won today and our Finnish friends don't think he will be on the world championship team. How much of an impact would he have for rochester? He's been playing playoff hockey against men and you seem to be the guy to ask about prospects. Thanks for any info

He'd have a big impact but I wouldn't expect to see him in Rochester. At least not the first round.

He'd be a useful add, but I'd personally probably shut him down now.
He had a long season and it started to show in the Finals (he seemed to stray from his new style to more of the old dangles style he played in his draft year and didn't seem to have a lot of confidence, opting to shoot from non-dangerous areas too often), so since he already has a championship under his belt, just let him rest.
Tell him to enjoy the win and get back to training after a few weeks so that he can come to Dev Camp ready to compete for a job.

all along, as written, plan was for Armia to go to Finnish camp for World Championships. Once more NHLers arrive, he'd come here.

As expected. Let's give Toronto a run for their money.

I'll be surprised if they can win 1 game. I just have a hard time seeing them win. They are a terrible puck possession team. They play most of the game in their own end, and with this defense, you're asking for trouble.

I hope the 3 coming down from Buffalo can help, but I don't have high hopes at all.

Game #1 (3:00 pm ET on Saturday) and Game #2 (3:00 pm ET on Sunday) will produced by Rogers TV in Canada and shown here in the WNY area - LIVE - on both TWCSC Buffalo - Channel 87 and TWCSC Rochester - Channel 98. (The reason these two games will be televised on the backup channels and not the main channels is because theres a conflict with Buffalo Bisons-Rochester Red Wings baseball games on both days - baseball games start two hours earlier.)

The Distillery at its Winston Road location will be having viewing parties for both away games. There will be ticket giveaways for both games at all locations with a special buy one-get one ticket offer for Game #3 at the Winston Road location -
