I still can't believe what I saw. Picked the right game to go see in Tampere that's for sure.

Raanta had the harder saves, but both were solid today.

Excited for the next game "tomorrow".

I want to move to Pori more and more. There is ALOT of Crazy and great people. I love their town and the team. Go ässät!

Their and Saipa's games have been the best games to watch emotionally right from the start. Both teams have been shooting the puck alot, playing physical and fast. I love those teams on todays field of Finnish hockey. It has been really exciting playoffs for Long time. I haven't even dared to watch those southern teams when they play finals, there is just absolutely no emotion in it. When these crazy porians play, it does absolutely not matter where you are from, you cannot help but become part of the atmosphere.

Daniel Brodin looks like great hockey player and young, do you think he travel to NA with Armia what you think?

Congratulations Ässät!!! It's been a long wait for these fans and the team, and I'm so happy for everyone in Pori right now. Just awesome. I'm at work here in North Carolina and I paid $1 on ruutu.fi to watch the 3rd period. I've NEVER been able to stream an SM-liiga game and it was so awesome to be able to watch the last part of that game.

This is OT but why did some of the Tappara players take the silver medal in their hands rather than have the guys put it around their necks?

Ah, very interesting. Silver is no shame though, it was a great series. But that's a really honorable gesture, something don't see in many other sports.

I got to admit I thought that Assat would not even reach playoffs on January and booked tickets to California. I saw only three of the finals live and watched the rest from TV.

The sixth final was a lot better game than Sharks-Stars which I saw yesterday...

Congrats Ässet!

Small anecdote:
Ässet: Last gold in 1978, FEL-champions in 2013
Skellefteå AIK: Last gold in 1978, SEL-champions in 2013
(And Jyri Marttinen was (is) a HUGE fan-favorite in Skellefteå.)

I know the long wait you've been through. Again, huge congrats!

Juzmo doesn't do alcohol. But he's probably naked anyway.

Indeed I was and went for a little drive around the city after all the celebrations in the arena and looking at the empty ice after everyone left. I will admit, I cried.

I could write more, but there is a re-run of the game on TV and I'm just all over the place.

Watching the game too, man the 1st&3rd goals were all on Metsola. That was Toskala esque.

Also I think you'll like this as your new avy:

I'm from Pori (I live in Turku now though) so I'm happy for the team even though I hardly watch SM-Liiga. (In fact, today's game was the only game I watched this season.) Happy for Ketola too. (His parents were actually our neighbors when I was a kid. I forever hold a grudge against the mother for taking my toy gun away because I tried to "shoot" her.)

Not really too happy about it since I dislike most Ässät fans (in Jatkoaika at least), but the team was absolutely great and deserved it! One can always speculate what could've happened if Connoly and Barkov were healthy but life isn't fair. Congratz to the team and at least some Ässät supporters (Juzmo seems like a nice guy )
